Department/Unit: Critical Care Support Services Work Shift: Night (United States of America) Salary Range: $95,680.00 - $148,304.00 The STAT team is a group of critical care trained professional nurses who are available 24/7 for any issue within the hospital and medical college. STAT nurses provide specialized care to all patients, employees, and visitors requiring acute medical attention at AMCH and Albany medical college. The team members also contribute their knowledge educating staff, patients, and families to recognize clinical deterioration and how to make a proactive assessment and observation for patients at risk for deterioration. STAT team members give MOCK code training for nurses and ancillary staff to help facilitate better outcome in code situations. Hourly Range: $35.81 - 59.09 STAT Nurses respond to: Code stroke, Code Thrombectomy, Code STEMI, Code 10, Anesthesia Emergency, Code Blue, Code Malignant Hyperthermia, Code Pink and Rapid Response pages. As well as any employee with questions about Hospital policies, procedures, or patient care. STAT nurses use problem focused physical exam to evaluate and treat patients according to protocols. Organizational Relationship: Reports to the Scheduling Manager Occupational Exposure Category: C: No exposure to blood borne pathogens Qualifications: High School graduate (or equivalent) 1 year recent experience as a scheduling coordinator in a home care HCSF or other healthcare related field Ability multi-task and a propensity for working with and helping people Must have a criminal background check Responsibilities: • Takes incoming referrals without delay, • Interacts with contract case managers and others to enhance the PR of the HCSF, • Actively works to encourage departmental growth (networking), • Consistently faxes notification to admitting hospitals and facilities that our HCSF is the patient’s home care HCSF of record, • Reminds all patients/families and caseworkers that our HCSF offers full-certified services, • Cooperates with Scheduling Manager regarding investigation of patient complaints/concerns, • Remains calm, non-defensive and helpful in finding appropriate resolution, • Cooperates with Scheduling Manager regarding new processes developed to improve workflow. and efficiency, • Files all incoming documents timely and efficiently keeping all HIPAA information secured, • Prints and distributes weekly accurate para schedules without exception, • Reports paras who service patients outside the scheduled times without notification of the office, • Receives and follows up on faxes received from answering services each morning, • Takes and gives report from/to On-Call CHHA each morning, • Reports all complaints and/or problems related to off hour issues (answering service) or On-call, • Participates in the QA Committee process as requested, • Participates in the orientation process as requested, • Cooperates with Scheduling Manager regarding scheduling projects as designated by the Administrator to improve internal scheduling processes, • Other duties as assigned, • Opens all CHHA requests within 48 hours of receipt, • Reviews para paperwork at the end of every week for accuracy and completeness so that all medical records are intact and up to date, • Enforces the HCSF’s disciplinary process without prejudice or discrimination, • Understands that the fiscal and clinical management of each case is directly linked to the success of his/her office. Assures that visits are not done that cannot be billed (authorizations are current and accurately serviced), • Notifies the HCSF of emergencies, sickness, and other imminent occurrences that may affect the patient caseload as quickly as possible relative to the event’s occurrence
