Job DescriptionSalary: $60,000 - $64,480 yearly ($29 - $31 hourly) Position: LIFESIGNS Scheduler Supervisor: LIFESIGNS Scheduling Supervisor Location: LIFESIGNS Classification: Non-exempt ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Coordinate ASL interpreter scheduling and manage service requests using online tools., • Handle high-volume calls, emails, and faxes related to interpreter requests and customer inquiries., • Provide new clients with clear information on rates, policies, and scheduling procedures., • Ensure timely fulfillment of requests by assigning qualified interpreters and following up as needed., • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong multitasking and attention to detail., • Review and optimize daily interpreter schedules for maximum coverage., • Troubleshoot technical issues on remote interpreting platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, Skype, Telemedicine)., • Perform additional tasks to support organizational goals. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelors degree and fluency in ASL., • Familiarity with Interpreter Code of Professional Conduct, ADA compliance, and interpreter roles., • Proficient in Microsoft Office and online platforms; ability to troubleshoot remote interpreting tools., • Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical thinking abilities; excellent verbal and written communication., • Sensitive to diverse Deaf communities; comfortable with multi-ethnic populations; strong customer service and teamwork., • Must maintain strict confidentiality., • Prior dispatcher/scheduler experience preferred; knowledge of Southern California driving routes a plus., • Reliable transportation with current insurance; flexibility for occasional weekend events. About GLAD: The Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness is a private non-profit organization that was founded in 1969 and now has 13 locations serving 10 counties in Southern California.
