Job Description We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Desktop Support Technician for a 1 year+ contract to provide hands-on technical support to end-users in a corporate environment. This position will support desktops, laptops, Windows and Apple devices, mobile devices, Cisco VoIP phones, printers, monitors, docking stations, and other workplace technology. The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and user account issues; deploying and maintaining endpoint devices; supporting employee onboarding and offboarding; and maintaining accurate IT asset and ticket documentation. Key Responsibilities • Provide onsite and remote Tier I/Tier II desktop and end-user support., • Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, macOS, Apple iPhones, Microsoft 365, email, VPN, applications, and connectivity issues., • Build, image, configure, deploy, refresh, and replace desktops and laptops., • Install and troubleshoot monitors, docking stations, printers, Cisco VoIP phones, mobile devices, and peripherals., • Perform basic Active Directory administration, including password resets, account unlocks, user lookups, and computer/device account checks., • Support Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, Office applications, OWA, and SharePoint., • Troubleshoot basic wired/wireless network and VPN connectivity., • Support employee onboarding/offboarding, including workstation setup, equipment deployment, data transfers, device collection, and returned equipment processing., • Perform basic malware remediation and endpoint security checks., • Verify endpoints meet established requirements for patching, antivirus/endpoint protection, BitLocker, and device encryption., • Maintain accurate inventory and asset records for computers, mobile devices, monitors, phones, peripherals, and spare equipment., • Track equipment through receiving, staging, deployment, repair, return, and retirement., • Document incidents, service requests, resolutions, and asset changes in applicable ticketing and asset management systems., • Perform workstation installations, cable management, and general office technology setup., • Communicate professionally with end-users and provide timely status updates through resolution., • Follow established IT security, escalation, documentation, and support procedures. Required Qualifications • 1–2+ years of Desktop Support, Help Desk, Field Services, or IT Support experience., • Hands-on experience supporting Windows 10/11 and macOS environments., • Experience supporting Apple iPhones and mobile devices., • Experience with workstation imaging, deployments, refreshes, and software installations., • Working knowledge of Active Directory., • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, Office, OWA, and SharePoint., • Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, monitors, docking stations, VoIP phones, and peripherals., • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, wired/wireless connectivity, VPNs, and network troubleshooting., • Familiarity with SCCM, RDP, ticketing systems, and IT asset management tools., • Familiarity with endpoint security, antivirus/endpoint protection, BitLocker, and device encryption., • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Excellent customer service and professionalism., • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple support requests, and meet service-level expectations., • Ability to maintain accurate tickets, documentation, inventory, and asset records. Preferred Qualifications • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or similar IT certifications., • Previous experience providing Desktop Support within a corporate or enterprise environment., • Experience supporting Cisco VoIP phones., • Experience with IT asset management and device lifecycle processes., • Experience with large-scale hardware deployments, refreshes, or technology rollouts.
