This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated matters involving debtors, lenders, and creditors in both in-court & out-of-court settings. The practice handles distressed lending, asset acquisitions, complex Chapter 11 proceedings, and related litigation.RESPONBILITIES • Represent debtors, financial institutions, lenders, creditors, and other entities in restructurings, distressed transactions, and bankruptcy-related disputes, • Work on a range of matters, including out-of-court workouts, prepackaged Chapter 11 cases, traditional filings, Section 363 sales, and cross-border restructurings across diverse industries, • Draft and negotiate restructuring agreements, Chapter 11 petitions, first-day motions, DIP financing and cash collateral documents, reorganization plans, disclosure statements, solicitation materials, and asset purchase agreements, • Assist with bankruptcy litigation, including drafting complaints, answers, discovery requests, motions, and related filings, • Conduct legal research on bankruptcy and restructuring issues and prepare supporting analyses, • Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and opposing counsel while managing competing priorities and deadlinesQUALIFICATIONS, • Juris Doctor degree from a top law school with excellent academic credentials, • Admission to practice in New York required, • 3–6 years of full-time restructuring and insolvency experience at a large law firm or similar environment, • Demonstrated experience representing debtors, creditors, and buyers in major Chapter 11 proceedings and related transactions, • Strong drafting experience across a variety of restructuring and bankruptcy filings and agreements, • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills, • Professional track record showing career stability and progressionWHY JOIN US?, • Opportunity to work with a Chambers-recognized restructuring team with significant deal flow, • Exposure to complex and high-profile matters in a collaborative environment, • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package, • Clear path for professional development and mentorship from leading practitioners
