Job DescriptionDescription: Job Purpose The Engineering Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for driving results in a fast-paced environment by managing and overseeing programs and personnel for the maintenance, calibration, and repair of production processing equipment. This includes routine support of day-to-day operations as well as special projects. Special projects include customer-centric projects, plant shutdowns, equipment upgrades, renovations, or expansions. Accountabilities • For assisting in planning and managing projects, • For managing the Calibration and Facilities Maintenance teams on assignments., • For ensuring GMP compliance (Work Order review, PM Review, CAPA assignments, Investigation reports, change control generation and review), • Provides maintenance program oversight and coordination (preventative maintenance programs, repairs, spare parts program, etc.), • For reviewing and providing oversight to the production equipment repairs, which includes work order creation, troubleshooting, and guidance., • For assisting with the coordination of shutdown activities and scheduling., • For assisting in conducting investigations on equipment, utilities, and facilities using structured problem-solving techniques, including identification of root-cause and effective preventative actions, • For the development and retention of a high-performing team to meet the current and evolving needs of the business through effective selection, training, coaching/mentoring, and performance management., • For continuous improvements to better utilize resources or improve equipment performance, • For assisting Project Managers in identifying required tooling, new parts, and equipment for new projects., • Supervises the maintenance team and contractor resources., • Assist in maintaining and broadcasting team KPI’s, • Maintain the inventory of spare and consumable components used by the production and facility maintenance team. Specifies and requests the purchase of components and equipment., • Interact with other departments to resolve issues related to equipment, process, quality, and safety., • Perform qualification protocols for support systems, facilities, and utilities., • Ensure timely completion and compliance with cGMP and all other relevant company training requirements., • Assist in engineering designs, modifications, installation, and commissioning of equipment and systems., • Analyze wear of components and take proactive steps such as implementing new preventative maintenance tasks, recommending replacement parts, or retrofitting equipment., • Lead and participate in training employees on the proper operation and maintenance of production equipment., • Implement continuous improvement initiatives., • Coordinate preventive maintenance, calibrations, and repair schedules for production equipment at each Mikart facility, • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to support operational projects., • Management of the company assets within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Computerized Calibration Management System (CCMS), and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), • Review of documentation such as equipment qualifications, SOPs, and other documents as related to the calibrations, maintenance, or repairs, • Efficiently coordinate the workflow and documentation of calibrations, preventative maintenance tasks, and work orders. The Production Maintenance Technicians, Calibration Technicians and Facilities Maintenance Technicians report to the Engineering Maintenance Team Leader. Requirements: Functional Competencies • Expert knowledge of pharmaceutical equipment operations and maintenance, • Knowledge of FDA-regulated industry requirements, Environmental Monitoring System (EMS), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Computerized Calibration Management System (CCMS), and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), managing personnel, and EHS required, • Excellent written and oral communication, coaching, and mentoring skills required., • Excellent ability to read and interpret technical information, engineering design, ability to read and understand equipment specifications and drawings, and ability to track and trend data analysis required, • The individual selected for this role must be an excellent manager of people, understanding how to communicate and lead a team successfully., • A leader and role model., • Team player., • Willing and able to assign tasks, organize teams, and drive the delivery of a plan., • Able to convey instructions clearly., • Attention to detail, high concern for standards, and results-oriented., • Robust communication skills (oral and written), • Flexible work hours. Reliable, self-starting, and organized., • Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years manufacturing maintenance experience, or other appropriate combination of education and experience in engineering., • Experience in cGMP, FDA regulations or other appropriate combination of education, training, and experience. Such personal protective equipment may include, but not limited to safety eyewear, various types of respirators/breathing apparatus, lab coats, full protective body coverings, various types of gloves, etc.
