The MW is responsible for completing all duties assigned in a timely and safe manner, at the lowest feasible cost. The MW must be able to sign the Mission’s State of Faith. CORE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs preventative and routine maintenance and building repairs following OSHA guidelines and building codes as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor, • May lockout or tag out unsafe or broken equipment, • Performs minor repairs to building fixtures, performs minor plumbing repairs, cleans electrical fixtures and replaces bulbs, and performs touch-up painting, • Performs needed carpentry work. Receives work orders and prints or sketches for the job. We are currently seeking a FT Fleet Supervisor at The Caring Place Administrative Office in Miami, FL JOB SUMMARY The Fleet Supervisor will oversee and maintain the organizations fleet of vehicles, and the staff who drive these vehicles. This role ensures that vehicles are safe, reliable, and cost-effective, while supervising drivers and fleet staff, maintaining compliance with regulations, and optimizing fleet operations to support business needs. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversees the day to day workflow of the transportation department and staff, • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive, • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed in accordance with company policy, • Will coordinate with the various departments that require transportation services to ensure smooth and safe delivery of personnel and materials, • Develops schedules and procedures, and ensures adherence to routine maintenance and repair of all vehicles as needed, • Develops and use regularly scheduled loop routes for routine client transportation needs. We are currently seeking a FT Case Manager I at The Caring Place Center for Men in Miami, FL, JOB SUMMARY The Case Manager I (CM-I) reports to the Case Management Supervisor, and will provide case management services, crisis intervention, support, and referral services for residents. The CM-I will also provide timely outcome reports per program guidelines and requirements; monitors progress of residents; and refers them to appropriate agencies for assistance as needed. The CM-I provides guidance to clients using scriptural references, and acts as a role model by personal testimony. Duties include discipleship of residents based on sound scriptural/biblical principles, incorporated into established case management techniques. Job Description SUMMARY: The Child Development Specialist will assist the FRC staff in the instructional process, recreational activities, and the execution of FRC and/or programming duties. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Through mentorship, develop relationships with the children in the aim of providing support, guidance, and positive interaction and to ease some of the fear, anger and sadness that may result from homeless shelter placement., • Assess, document, analyze children’s age-appropriate academic, social-emotional, and physical milestone progress and develop individualized strategies to help them continue to grow and learn properly., • Communicate with all FRC staff regarding observations of children’s growth or regression in all milestone areas., • Actively monitor children while they are under the supervision of Family Resource Center staff., • Provide exposure to positive activities, opportunities to learn life skills and positive problem-solving skills., • Support the Supervisor’s planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate learning activities for children enrolled in Kindergarten through 12th grade., • Support Family Resource Center programming and execute weekly calendar of activities, which may include homework help, academic enrichment, physical activities, and field trips., • Assist in the daily set-up and clean-up of Family Resource Center, including before and after provider activities and events., • Enter data accurately and as required into the FRC data tracker., • Performs other assignments or tasks as deemed necessary QUALIFICATIONS: • Associate degree in education or related field or equivalent experience., • Minimum of two (2) years working with children in an educational setting., • Valid driver license (State of Florida) and clean driving record. Job Description SUMMARY: The Community Outreach Specialist is responsible for recruiting, training, and facilitating volunteer activities to support the daily operations at Chapman Partnership. This role will serve as the key member of the organization that attends community events to represent our organization and mission. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Community Engagement: Build relationships with community groups, schools and organizations to expand the volunteer base. Represent Chapman Partnership at community events and meetings. Attend community events and resource fairs to represent the organization within the community. (may require some night & weekend events), • Recruitment and Onboarding: Identify volunteer needs and develop recruitment strategies. Screen potential volunteers. Conduct volunteer orientations and ensure volunteers understand Chapman Partnership’s policies, procedures and best practices., • Scheduling and Coordination: Create volunteer schedules that align with shelter needs. Communicate regularly with volunteers to confirm shifts and availability. Oversee volunteer tasks, ensuring they are performed efficiently. Ensure coordination of on-site volunteer activities with other internal departments., • Training and Development: Onboard volunteers conducting monthly orientations, screenings and trainings. Foster a positive and supportive volunteer environment., • Supervision and Support: Offer guidance and support to volunteers as needed. Address any volunteer concerns or conflicts. Provide excellent volunteer experience., • Reporting: Maintain volunteer database to pull volunteer metrics such as performance and impact. We are currently seeking a FT Food Services Driver at The Caring Place Center for Men in Miami, FL, JOB SUMMARY The Food Services Driver (FSD) reports to the Food Services Supervisor and will provide donation pick-up, and storeroom organization. The FSD will pick up and record donations, track inventory in and out of the department, and prepare related reports. CORE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Drives agency vehicle to pick up purchases and donations using the shortest and safest route. Issues receipts to donors, • Loads donations onto vehicle and installs strapping, bracing and padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit when appropriate, • Unloads all purchases and donations. Opens all bales, boxes, crates and other containers containing donations, • Sorts, inventories, and places items on racks, shelves according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, color or product using FIFO (first-in, first-out) storage methods. Marks packages or cans with identifying information and dates when applicable, • Assists in maintaining storage areas in a safe and sanitary manner according to State of Florida health department regulations, • May deliver donations to other agencies upon request of FSS, • Demonstrates and maintains good customer service with donors, local businesses and vendors, • Completes driver’s log after each use of agency vehicle. We are looking for like-minded, dynamic individuals to come and join our team. ABOUT The Caring Place provides emergency shelter, residential programs, job training, education & computer literacy classes, healthcare, transitional housing, permanent housing, employment opportunities for homeless men, women, and children as well as programs for “at-risk” youth. We are currently seeking full-time Guest Service Assistant(s) to monitor residents at our homeless shelter at the Center for Men in Miami, FL. Shift(s) available: 7:30AM - 4:00PM 1:00PM - 9:30PM 2:30PM - 11:00PM 11:00PM - 7:30AM Including weekends and holidays as needed JOB SUMMARY The Guest Service Assistant (GSA) monitors and oversees residential clients at our Centers. Duties include assisting with new resident orientation; providing general oversight of residents in the absence of management; ensuring that residents perform assigned chores; handling emergencies according to policies and procedures; providing operational support for events such as graduations and luncheons; and, coordinating transportation and/or laundry services for residents. DUTIES • Oversees front desk, laundry room, Guest Service CSAs and ensures clients and visitors of the Center are treated with respect and dignity, • Routinely checks for hazardous substances and unsafe conditions in the facility and corrects immediately when possible or reports it to Supervisor or Director if unable to remedy, • Reports maintenance problems to Supervisor, • Helps maintain a safe, clean and secure environment for residents, employees, volunteers and visitors, • Handles emergencies according to policies and procedures and notifies management with timely incident reports, • Responds to emails and phone calls in a timely manner, and keeps other staff informed, • Monitors residents throughout the Center, and ensures that all residents are treated with dignity and respect, • Assists with orientation for new residents and volunteers, • Listens to residents, makes decisions based on available facts using wisdom, compassion and according to company policy, • Will lead and/or participate in devotions, prayers, or other ministry activities ex. outreach events, • Must be in agreement with and sign The Caring Place Statement of Faith, • Requires a high school diploma or GED, some college level coursework in social work or knowledge of addictions and relapse prevention highly preferred, • Must have one (1) year work experience in social services or security-related work, • Must be of good moral character with knowledge of homelessness and addiction issues, and have the ability to lead clients by example, • Must have good communication, computer and organizational skills with knowledge of basic facility maintenance and security, • Must be able to multi-task and make sound decisions in a fair and compassionate manner, • Must have good interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse population and all levels of residents, employees, volunteers and guests, • Must be very mobile as sitting, walking, standing, stooping, bending and reaching are required to perform essential job duties, • Must have the ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds, • Must be able to see, hear and speak, in order to interact with staff and the general public, • Day off for Birthday/Work Anniversary, • Employee Discounts, • Holidays (12), • Paid Time Off, • Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, GAP and Health Savings Account), • Company Paid Life insurance
