Job Description Reporting Relationships: Program Director reports to the Program Coordinator. Job Description Housing Specialist The CityFHEPS Housing Specialist is responsible for assisting individuals and families residing in DHS shelters, including asylum hotels, to secure permanent housing through various rental assistance programs such as CityFHEPS, Special One-Time Assistance (SOTA), Family Homelessness and Eviction Prevention Supplement (FHEPS) A, and FHEPS B. The Housing Specialist will use HPD incentives for finders’ fees to brokers and owners, and develop contacts with both not-for-profit and for-profit housing developers. This position oversees the Clinical and Social Services functions to optimize the quality of care to residents in accordance with DHS regulatory and accreditation requirements.
