Job Description Post Rehabilitation Services at Eastern Star Home is looking for a Clinical Fellow CF to fill a full-time position in our skilled nursing facility. Your mentored professional experience here is the first step in becoming an independent provider of speech-language pathology clinical services. You will have direct access to FEES and standardized assessments, providing valuable opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and competency. We fulfill and exceed the state and ASHA requirements for supervision, ensuring a comprehensive and supportive experience to help you successfully complete your training as a skilled and independent clinician. Frequently Asked Questions Am I guaranteed 40 hours? Although we can't guarantee hours, our schedules are structured to provide a full 40-hour caseload. On the off chance additional hours are needed, most of our locations have nearby facilities to make it simple to fill your week. How does corporate support the therapists on the floors? Majority of our Regional Directors, as well as many corporate members, are therapists themselves. All of our Directors understand the constant challenge it is to meet the ever-changing demands of Medicare and insurance guidelines. Our clinical team provides thorough documentation training to ensure Clinical Fellows understand the importance of Medicare guidelines and regulations. What type of mentorship or support do you provide for new grads? We offer a comprehensive mentorship program to support new grads from day one. You'll be paired with an experienced therapist who will guide you through documentation, evaluations, treatment methods, and more. Our approach is tailored to your learning style, and as you gain confidence and begin working independently, your mentor and our clinical team will continue to provide support whenever needed. Is there an opportunity to continue working at my facility as an SLP following the completion of my Clinical Fellowship Year? Successful Clinical Fellows are strongly considered for full-time SLP roles once they complete their fellowship. While availability depends on current openings, we prioritize former CFs when opportunities arise at any of our locations. If a full-time position isn't immediately available, most of our CFs continue with us as SLP PRN.
