Job Description Henderson Sport & Social Fitness Lead Property Overview Henderson Sport & Social is a state-of-the-art, 180,000-square-foot destination opening in Henderson, Nevada. The facility is designed to become the premier destination for youth and adult sports, recreation, fitness, dining, and family entertainment while serving as a gathering place for the local community. Our facility features basketball, volleyball, pickleball, indoor turf fields, bowling, a dual-level laser tag arena, Krazy Darts, miniature golf, arcade games, a full-service restaurant and bar, fitness center, Child Watch, and flexible event spaces capable of hosting birthday parties, tournaments, corporate outings, and community celebrations. Fitness Leads inspire healthy lifestyles by leading through service, professionalism, and genuine relationships with every member. People may join because of the equipment, but they stay because of the relationships. What Success Looks Like A successful Fitness Lead: • Creates a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating environment where every member feels valued., • Coaches and develops Fitness Attendants through leadership, mentorship, and accountability., • Maintains a clean, organized, safe, and fully operational Fitness Center., • Builds lasting relationships with members while promoting member retention and engagement., • Responds confidently to member concerns, safety issues, and operational challenges., • Maintains accurate operational checklists, inspections, and facility standards., • Supports other departments whenever appropriate and within the scope of training., • Leads by example through Henderson Sport & Social's Core True Service Philosophy. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Leadership & Team Development • Lead, coach, train, and develop Fitness Attendants through ongoing feedback, mentorship, and daily leadership., • Assign daily responsibilities, approve breaks, and ensure proper department coverage throughout each shift., • Verify completion of opening and closing procedures, operational checklists, and equipment inspections., • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching documentation, and performance recommendations. Final hiring and disciplinary decisions remain with the Fitness Manager., • Foster a culture built on professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and exceptional member service. Member Experience • Create exceptional member experiences by building genuine relationships, learning member names whenever possible, and supporting members in achieving their fitness goals., • Conduct new member orientations and ensure members understand the safe operation of fitness equipment and facility amenities., • Answer questions regarding memberships, fitness programs, and facility offerings while referring membership sales opportunities to the Membership Sales Manager when appropriate., • Resolve escalated member concerns professionally while protecting the Henderson Sport & Social experience., • Support member appreciation events, special programming, and community-building initiatives. Fitness Center Operations • Oversee the daily presentation, cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of the Fitness Center., • Ensure equipment inspections, maintenance reporting, locker room standards, inventory levels, and daily operational checklists are completed consistently., • Coordinate communication with Child Watch, Guest Services, and other departments to ensure seamless member experiences., • Report equipment concerns and remove unsafe equipment from service until repairs are completed., • Continuously evaluate Fitness Center operations and recommend improvements to member experience, safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. Safety & Guest Service • Serve as the Fitness Center's first responder during medical emergencies, member incidents, or operational concerns until relieved by the Fitness Manager., • Ensure CPR, AED, First Aid, emergency response procedures, and facility safety standards are consistently followed., • Promote safe equipment use while addressing unsafe behaviors with professionalism and confidence., • Support other departments whenever operationally appropriate and within the scope of training., • Complete additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications • Must be at least 21 years of age., • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred., • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills., • CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification required (training may be provided)., • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events based on business needs., • Passion for health, fitness, hospitality, and developing others. Preferred Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: • Fitness Center leadership, • Personal training or group fitness, • Exercise science or kinesiology, • Recreation or hospitality management, • Membership-based fitness facilities, • Previous experience coaching or developing team members Physical Requirements • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, and pull for extended periods throughout the shift., • Frequently lift and carry up to 150 pounds with assistance., • Demonstrate proper operation of fitness equipment and assist members with safe equipment usage., • Maintain a professional appearance while working throughout guest-facing areas of the facility.
