Position Overview As the Spa General Manager, you are the driving force of the spa. You lead with an ownership mindset—overseeing daily operations, developing a high-performing team, and ensuring every guest receives a consistent, luxury-level Aura experience. You will manage both the Front Desk and Head Spa Specialist teams, balancing hospitality, people leadership, business strategy, and brand presence to maintain Aura Head Spa’s reputation as one of New Jersey’s most sought-after wellness destinations. The ideal candidate is results-driven, calm under pressure, highly organized, and passionate about developing people while creating experiences guests can’t stop talking about. Key Responsibilities: Business Performance & Leadership • Take full ownership of spa performance, including revenue growth, cost control, and profitability, • Track and improve daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs including enhancement sales, memberships, retail, upgrades, and guest satisfaction, • Develop and execute strategies to increase guest retention, loyalty, and membership enrollment, • Ensure optimal staffing levels, scheduling efficiency, and resource allocation to meet high demand, • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team across all roles, • Build a culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and positivity, • Hire, train, coach, and retain top-tier talent, • Provide ongoing feedback, performance evaluations, and development plans, • Ensure every guest receives the signature Aura Head Spa experience—warm, attentive, and consistently exceptional, • Coach team members on hospitality standards, communication, and service excellence, • Handle guest feedback and escalations professionally, implementing improvements when needed, • Oversee weekly spa operations including scheduling, payroll, inventory, and administrative tasks, • Ensure compliance with sanitation standards, state regulations, and internal protocols, • Maintain strict quality control and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and professionalism, • Optimize booking systems, front-desk flow, and spa technology for efficiency and guest experience, • Collaborate with ownership on marketing initiatives, local partnerships, and promotions, • Manage and oversee the spa’s social media presence, ensuring consistent brand voice, luxury positioning, and engagement, • Coordinate content creation (reels, posts, stories) showcasing services, team, and guest experience and coordinate content shoots with the marketing team., • In the event of an emergency, call-out, or unexpected absence within the Front Desk team, the Spa General Manager is expected to step in and provide coverage as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations and guest experience., • 3+ years of management experience in spa, wellness, beauty, or hospitality, • Proven success in team leadership, sales growth, and operational efficiency, • Experience overseeing or managing social media for a brand or business preferred, • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, • Comfortable leading in a high-demand, fast-paced luxury environment, • Flexible schedule including weekends and full-day availability, • $65,000 – $72,000 annual salary, • Performance-based bonuses, • Paid time off, • Complimentary Aura Head Spa membership, • Retail discounts, • Career growth within a rapidly expanding brand LOCATION : Currently hiring for both locations ; Montclair and Ridgewood .
