Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description The Warehouse Worker supports daily warehouse operations by receiving and organizing incoming shipments, preparing and staging outgoing orders, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work area. This role involves hands-on material handling, accurate inventory tracking, and close collaboration with team members to ensure orders move quickly and correctly through the facility. Responsibilities • Receive, sort, and scan incoming packages accurately and in a timely manner., • Prepare outgoing orders for delivery drivers, including picking, packing, and labeling items correctly., • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment and safe lifting techniques., • Maintain accurate inventory counts, report discrepancies, and help resolve inventory issues., • Perform order picking and packaging tasks to meet production and shipping schedules., • Handle general labor and material handling duties, including moving, stacking, and organizing products and materials., • Use RF scanners and related technology to track inventory movement and order status., • Support shipping and receiving activities by checking in shipments and staging outbound orders., • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards and procedures., • Operate pallet jacks, carts, and other warehouse equipment after receiving proper training., • Assist team members and supervisors with daily operational tasks and workflow as needed., • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.Essential Skills, • Experience with basic warehouse tasks such as inventory, picking, packing, and general labor., • Ability to perform material handling duties, including lifting, moving, and organizing products., • Comfort working with RF scanners or similar handheld devices for inventory and order tracking., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly using safe lifting techniques., • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods throughout the shift., • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, and inventory counts., • Effective time management skills to meet daily production and shipping deadlines., • Reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent warehouse operations., • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to assist others., • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and workflows (preferred but not required)., • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including checking in and staging orders., • Experience operating pallet jacks, carts, or other warehouse equipment (training provided if needed)., • Previous experience in production, loading, or packaging roles is an asset., • Willingness to learn new systems, equipment, and procedures to support warehouse efficiency.Why Work Here? The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, with a strong emphasis on cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety standards. Dress typically includes comfortable, practical work attire suitable for a warehouse, along with any required safety gear provided according to site policies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Rochester, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.75 - $22.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
