As a Fiscal Intermediary Liaison (FIL), you will support and oversee individuals who receive Fiscal Intermediary (FI) services through Lifetime Assistance. You will partner closely with people supported, brokers, Care Managers, and our business office to ensure accurate and compliant FI operations. Key Duties Include: • Maintain an assigned caseload of Fiscal Intermediary and/or Broker cases., • Review all service documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, including billing documents for individuals, brokers, and self-hired staff., • Complete Broker billing and Broker compliance tasks when applicable., • Review and submit requests for payment for goods and services per each approved Self-Direction budget., • Process and track monthly billing for Fiscal Intermediary and Brokerage services., • Prepare and distribute Monthly Expenditure Reports to people supported, brokers, and Care Managers., • Provide summaries of expenditures and budget utilization at Circle of Support meetings and annual Life Plan meetings., • Attend local and regional FI meetings, webinars, FI interviews, and Circle of Support meetings as needed., • Coordinate with Care Managers and Brokers to ensure required meetings occur once a plan/budget is approved., • Train and assist people supported/guardians on self-direction services and eVero MyCare Portal use., • Oversee onboarding and training of self-hire staff., • Provide training to individuals who independently self-direct their staff, including overtime rules, reviewing time sheets, mileage reimbursements, monthly summaries, and staff management., • Process timesheets and billing documents for self-hire staff., • Maintain contact with the Care Manager/Broker monthly to ensure DDP2, Medicaid, and Waiver requirements remain active., • Maintain complete case files in compliance with Medicaid, OPWDD, DOL, and agency requirements., • Participate in quality and fiscal compliance audits., • Build and maintain positive relationships with OPWDD and other community organizations., • Ensure effective communication and coordination among people supported, service providers, and responsible staff., • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Business, or related field., • At least one year of experience supporting individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities., • Broker certification required if managing Broker caseloads., • Valid New York State Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and ability to meet agency vehicle operation requirements., • Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies, procedures, and regulations., • Strong skills in report writing, correspondence, documentation, and communication with individuals, families, staff, and partners., • Ability to define problems, collect information, analyze options, and draw valid conclusions., • Mission-Driven Work: Empowering individuals to live with independence and purpose—here, your work truly matters., • Inclusive & Supportive: A workplace built on respect, dignity, and a shared vision of inclusion.
