Job DescriptionPosition Overview - NEW YORK RESIDENTS ONLY We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join a market transformation team, with a focus on advancing large-scale clean energy and building decarbonization initiatives. This role will work directly with manufacturers, investors, and other supply chain actors to shape strategies and programs that drive investment in innovative clean energy solutions. The Senior Project Manager will combine expertise in market strategy, financial analysis, and stakeholder engagement to design and deliver interventions that influence capital allocation and corporate decision-making. This is a senior-level role requiring both strategic creativity and disciplined execution, with the ability to operate credibly at the C-suite level. This is a 2 year contracted role and the pay rate is $62.50-72.12.Key Responsibilities Market Engagement • Lead engagement with manufacturers and technology companies through exploratory interviews and ideation sessions., • Identify investment decision criteria, capital allocation priorities, and barriers to scaling solutions., • Conduct executive-level discussions with leaders at manufacturers of building equipment, systems, and appliances (e.g., heat pumps, envelope solutions, ventilation systems)., • Compare decision-making approaches across company size and type (e.g., startups vs. large OEMs)., • Gather actionable insights to strengthen program design and stakeholder value.Internal Advisory, • Translate organizational strategic goals into compelling business cases for private-sector partners., • Assess whether proposed programs (e.g., contracts, investment incentives, guarantees) can effectively influence corporate investment decisions., • Support initiative design by:, • Structuring credible support packages for investors., • Identifying and addressing financial or operational friction points., • Challenging assumptions to ensure outcome-driven, market-aligned solutions., • Provide market-informed insights to guide internal strategy and organizational development.Strategic Influence & Communication, • Build persuasive narratives that align clean energy objectives with corporate strategies., • Encourage firms to:, • Invest in products that support decarbonization., • Expand facilities and scale manufacturing capacity., • Enhance delivery models (e.g., installation pricing, labor networks)., • Represent the organization in negotiations, industry forums, and partnerships.Required Qualifications, • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)., • 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, investment strategy, industrial supply chain development, market analysis, or strategic consulting., • Proven ability to design and manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects., • Deep understanding of corporate decision-making, especially how executives assess capital allocation, risk, and scale., • Strong financial literacy, with the ability to evaluate business models and articulate key deal terms., • Excellent communication skills with experience engaging executives and representing organizations externally., • Strong judgment, interpersonal skills, and ability to influence across diverse sectors.Preferred Qualifications, • Advanced degree in Strategy, Finance, Economics, Industrial Policy, or related field., • Experience as a corporate executive, strategist, or analyst in corporate strategy, finance, or investment., • Background in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, venture capital, or private equity., • Experience advising manufacturers on go-to-market or capital investment strategies., • Knowledge of capital structuring, early-stage commercialization, and manufacturing scale-up., • Familiarity with industrial supply chains and market transformation strategies.Key Competencies for Success, • Corporate Decision-Making Fluency – Understands executive-level investment logic and can align strategies accordingly., • Competitive Strategy Acumen – Sees market dynamics and articulates their impact on business choices., • Business Case Development – Crafts compelling narratives that motivate decision-makers., • Strategic Storytelling – Frames initiatives in ways that resonate with private-sector leaders., • Behavioral Insight – Understands both quantitative and qualitative drivers of organizational action., • Cross-Functional Fluency – Recognizes interactions across supply chain components and their influence on adoption.Tools & Systems, • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), • Microsoft SharePoint Integrated Staffing: Staffing solutions that exceed expectations and build relationships #ZR
