Opportunity Overview Flex Interconnect Technologies (FIT) is a leading manufacturer of flexible circuit and interconnect solutions based in Milpitas, California. Operating for more than 25 years, FIT is recognized for its deep technical expertise, responsiveness, and ability to design and manufacture highly complex flexible and rigid-flex circuits with speed and precision. The company serves a diverse mix of military, aerospace, medical, industrial, and technology customers who rely on FIT’s quick-turn prototyping, volume production, and assembly capabilities. Granite Partners has executed a Letter of Intent to acquire FIT and integrate it into All Flex Solutions (AFS), a Granite Company, to expand AFS’s capabilities further upstream into R&D and early-stage prototyping. FIT and AFS have collaborated for many years, with the former doing more of the quick-turn prototyping and the latter doing more of the higher volume production. The merged entity will deliver a full-spectrum interconnect solution spanning prototype to production. With both founders planning retirement, All Flex Solutions and Granite Partners are seeking a Vice President & General Manager (VP/GM) to succeed them and lead the organization into its next phase of growth. The VP/GM will partner closely with the outgoing owners through a one-year transition (six months full-time, six months part-time) to ensure a smooth handoff of relationships, knowledge, and operational continuity while working to integrate the organization seamlessly with AFS. This is a unique opportunity for a proven general manager or high-potential division leader to step into a respected, high-mix manufacturer at an inflection point – combining the agility and legacy of a founder-led business with the resources, values, and long-term stability of the Granite Partners community. The incoming leader will oversee all operational, and organizational activities – from engineering and manufacturing to scaling for growth – while guiding the company through modernization and integration. FIT’s entrepreneurial culture, technical depth, and long-standing customer partnerships create a compelling foundation for the next stage of growth under visionary leadership. The Position Reporting to President & Chief Executive Officer of All Flex Solutions, the Vice President & General Manager (VP/GM) will lead Flex Interconnect Technologies (FIT) through a pivotal period of transition and growth. The VP/GM will oversee, engineering, operations, quality, and administration – ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth. This role requires a leader with technical credibility and a communication style to effectively lead a diverse, hands-on manufacturing workforce. This leader will succeed FIT’s founders, who have built a strong foundation of technical innovation, customer trust, and operational performance. During the initial year, the VP/GM will work closely with both founders as they provide transition support and transfer their institutional knowledge. The VP/GM will be responsible for shaping FIT’s next chapter by strengthening organizational systems, advancing continuous improvement, and integrating into All Flex Solutions, a Granite Company. The successful candidate will be an experienced and hands-on general manager capable of balancing strategic leadership with daily operational oversight. They will drive revenue growth through customer engagement and technical differentiation, while fostering a culture of accountability, learning, problem solving and collaboration. The VP/GM will lead a management team spanning engineering, production, quality, process improvement, and collaborate closely with the Sales and Marketing team, Finance and HR teams at All Flex Solutions. The role will focus on: • Driving operational and financial performance, achieving growth, margin, and delivery targets through disciplined execution., • Enhancing systems and process discipline, including KPIs (yield, scrap, on-time delivery), to enable scalable, repeatable performance across a 70-person, high-mix production environment., • Leading Lean Manufacturing and Systems-based thinking and empowering employees to build a world-class operation., • Building a company culture of 100% employee participation in improvements, problem solving, decision making, respect for each other, and “one team” mindset., • Strengthening organizational capability through coaching, mentoring, and clear role accountability, enabling teams to solve problems and continuously improve., • Partnering with All Flex Solutions and Granite Partners leaders to align strategy, share best practices, and integrate into the broader AFS platform., • Upholding FIT’s reputation for responsiveness, innovation, and quality, while advancing the Granite values of trust, innovation, and excellence. Candidate Profile We seek a highly effective leader with strong commercial, business, operational, and technical leadership skills. The ideal candidate will combine technical credibility, clear communication, and sound judgment with the ability to lead a diverse workforce in a high-mix manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in an advanced manufacturing or electronics-related environment, preferably within flexible circuits, printed circuit boards (PCB), or electronic manufacturing services (EMS). Experience leading in high-mix, quick-turn or project-based manufacturing is highly desirable. Prior general management experience, is strongly preferred. Qualified candidates will possess a background in engineering and manufacturing environments with an understanding of engineering design, customer relations, operations, and the interdependencies across those functions. The right candidate will have a strong commercial background with a broad-based understanding of sales, marketing, operations, and finance. The successful candidate will be technically credible, systems-oriented, and comfortable using metrics and information systems to drive performance and decision making. An undergraduate degree is required; an advanced degree or MBA is desired The VP & GM must be a high-integrity person who values employee wellbeing, leads with fairness and emotional intelligence, and is committed to long-term versus short-term success. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success and accomplishment in positions of increasing managerial responsibility, including proven results in driving strategic decisions that create value and enhance the overall success of a business. Additionally, this individual must have the capacity to collaborate closely with leaders within FIT, All Flex Solutions, and Granite Partners, leveraging resources throughout the organization and encouraging team members to do the same. Additional qualifications include: • Excellent people and organizational development skills, including recruiting, objective setting, performance management, coaching, mentoring, and clear employee communication., • Strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to assist in construction and execution of a 3- to 5-year plan., • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to translate operating and strategic concepts into clear, simple, and unambiguous language for implementation at all levels and across a diverse workforce., • Ability to lead a product development and technology roadmap aligned to attractive market opportunities, including support for quick-turn capabilities, new technologies, and thoughtful equipment investment., • Demonstrated success implementing continuous improvement concepts to achieve operational excellence. Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and process improvement tools is important, particularly in driving participation, root cause analysis, and accountability., • Experience in, or demonstrated knowledge of, supply chain functions from procurement to distribution., • Financial skills, with the ability to identify areas of opportunity and make timely, well-reasoned decisions to improve results and support long- and short-term planning., • An understanding of manufacturing systems including modern MRP / ERP systems, with the ability to use information systems, metrics, and digital tools to optimize workflows and support data-driven strategies., • A proven ability to prioritize and drive a proactive safety culture. The ideal candidate will have a balanced management approach capable of leading change and driving an already successful company to a higher level of potential. Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive base salary in the $250,000 to 275,000 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with an annual bonus and the opportunity to participate in long-term incentives, including a stock appreciation rights (SARs) program.
