Job Description LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the finance team of a growing, well-recognized organization in the Dekalb County area. Core Responsibilities * General Ledger Management: Analyze and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards * Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes * Financial Planning Support: Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting, including capital expenditure planning * Reconciliations: Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly * Reporting: Prepare quarterly and annual schedules for internal and external reporting requirements * Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance leadership and other departments to support business objectives Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required) * 1–3 years of recent, hands-on accounting experience in a corporate or public setting * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) * Experience with SAP or similar ERP/accounting systems preferred * Solid understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting * Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines * Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan or a non-qualified deferred compensation plan.
