About The Role: The Product Manager – IoT Embedded Products is responsible for the strategy, development, and execution of lifecycle management of Airgain’s IoT embedded product portfolio. This includes hardware (embedded modules, antennas, chipsets) and software (firmware, device management platforms, APIs, and cloud integrations). The role blends technical product management expertise with market-driven strategy to deliver differentiated solutions that drive growth. Essential Function: Product Strategy & Roadmap • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for embedded IoT products, from concept to end-of-life., • Develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap covering hardware, firmware, and software capabilities., • Identify market gaps and create business cases to justify new product investments., • Ensure alignment of roadmap with company growth goals and market trends. Software Product Management • Define requirements for embedded software, device management platforms, cloud services, and APIs., • Work with engineering to prioritize feature development and ensure high-quality software delivery., • Drive integration with third-party platforms and edge computing capabilities., • Develop strategies for OTA updates, diagnostics, and security management. Market Analysis & Positioning • Conduct market research to track competitive offerings, pricing, and technology trends., • Define product positioning, messaging, and value propositions for technical and non-technical audiences., • Maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant wireless protocols and standards (cellular, Wi-Fi, NTN, Bluetooth, GNSS, LPWAN). Go-to-Market Execution • Collaborate with marketing to develop product launch plans, sales enablement materials, and training content., • Support sales and FAE teams with technical expertise in customer engagements and RFP responses., • Build partnerships with chipset vendors, module manufacturers, and software solution providers. Cross-functional Leadership • Serve as the voice of the customer within engineering and operations teams., • Facilitate cross-functional teams to deliver on time, within budget, and to quality expectations., • Establish KPIs and track product performance to inform improvements and next-gen designs. Requirements/Qualifications: Experience • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a business-related field., • 2 to 5+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or a related role in IoT, wireless or embedded systems., • Proven track record managing products with both physical and digital components., • Experience defining and delivering embedded software, cloud services, and firmware solutions. Skills • Strong understanding of wireless technologies: cellular (4G/5G), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, LPWAN., • Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate data into strategic actions., • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for both technical and business audiences., • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership abilities., • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with competing priorities., • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving, • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines Other: • Domestic and occasional international travel required (up to 30%)., • Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport. Our salary ranges are determined by several factors, including but not limited to the role, location, job-related skills, relevant education, experience and training. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target range for new hire base salary for the position across all US locations and varies by the location of the position.
