Job Description Job Title: Industrial Painter Job Description We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter for a 1st Shift position to work on metal containers and similar products. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with airless spray pumps and HVLP spray equipment. Responsibilities include painting, finishing, and maintaining a variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures. Candidates should be comfortable working with a paint suit and respirator. The 1st shift hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities • Prepare surfaces for painting and finishing., • Apply undercoats and finish coats using a full range of application methods and materials., • Mix and match paints and finishes., • Advise in the selection and storage of painting materials., • Identify, correct, and report safety hazards to prevent accidents., • Pursue cost reduction and efficiency improvement opportunities., • Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management System through self-inspection., • Stencil lettering and identifying information on vehicles as per specifications., • Select paint according to company color scheme and specifications., • Stir paint, pour into spray container, and apply primer or finish coat using a spray gun., • Paint areas inaccessible to gun with a paintbrush., • Disassemble and clean paint equipment using solvents, wire brushes, and dry cloth., • Lift production objects up to 50 lbs., • Perform other duties as assigned., • Experience in painting and industrial painting techniques., • Familiarity with airless spray pumps., • Proficiency in using HVLP spray equipment., • High School Diploma or GED preferred. Work Environment This position reports to the Paint Department Supervisor in a generally warm, non-climate-controlled facility. The 1st shift hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Initial training occurs on the day shift for approximately 1-2 months before transitioning to the 2nd shift (Monday to Thursday, 3:30 pm to 2:00 am). Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cinnaminson, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
