We are currently seeking a Collections Assistant with solid work experience to join our team for a temporary contract position. Candidates must be able to work well both independently and within a team environment. As the Collections Assistant, the incumbent will communicate with lawyers, staff, and clients to ensure the timely and professional collection of outstanding accounts receivable as well as prepare financial reports pertaining these accounts. This position reports to the Director, Finance Responsibilities: • Collection of firm accounts and monitoring aged accounts receivable. • Initiating regular follow-up reminders with staff, lawyers and clients. • Locating delinquent accounts and arranging satisfactory payments proposal with clients, may carry collections through to default judgement and execution. • Maintain and update credit risk reports. Qualifications: • General knowledge of accounts receivable and accounting system is an asset. • Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in collections. • Knowledge of Elite would be considered an asset.
