Job Description Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. A dynamic opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide valuable support within a K-8 educational setting in Buena Park, CA. This contract role offers 14 hours per week, with a flexible schedule designed to accommodate your preferences. The position begins as soon as possible and extends through May 22. The COTA will collaborate closely with an Occupational Therapist who will provide supervision, ensuring seamless integration of therapy services. While specific school sites are yet to be determined, assignments are likely at Pendleton and Whitaker schools. Caseload size is expected to range between 20 and 30 students, with the schedule and daily responsibilities shaped in partnership with the supervising OT. Preferred working days are Monday and Tuesday, aligning with the times when most team-based direct services occur. Thursdays are not included in the workweek, offering additional flexibility. This arrangement promotes a balanced approach to service delivery, supporting both student needs and therapist availability. Key Qualifications and Experience: • Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), • Experience working in school-based settings, preferably with K-8 students, • Ability to work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists and educational teams, • Flexibility to arrange the schedule jointly with the OT Responsibilities: • Deliver occupational therapy services to students within the K-8 district, • Participate in scheduling and caseload management with the supervising OT, • Support students' developmental and functional goals through direct therapy and interventions Qualified candidates interested in making a positive educational impact are encouraged to apply promptly to explore this unique contract opportunity.
