Job Description Job Summary: Clinical Training Specialist is responsible for providing training and education to current and future Ekso Bionics customers while facilitating use of our product in healthcare settings. This includes initial and ongoing training visits as needed at customer sites. Ensure competent and safe operation of Ekso devices by all physical therapists at customer sites. The activities needed to support these objectives include, while not limited to: improving the quality, efficiency, and productivity of the physical therapy/clinical team, facilitating patient use of our products directly and through others, complying with Ekso Bionics quality management system, making presentations to current and future customers, supporting the design and development of future products, and the development and support of clinical training with Ekso Bionics customers. This position reports to the VP of Clinical Operations. Principle Duties: Operational management of geographical region o Oversee execution of training scheduling for new and existing customers. o Follow-up with existing customers to support Customer Success Program o Collaborate with partnered, Regional Sales Manager Onsite Training, Sales Demonstrations and Conferences o Travel to current and future customer locations to provide new or ongoing demonstrations and training for all Ekso Bionics mobility related devices across the United States. Represent Ekso Bionics at conferences o Travel days expected to be approximately 60% of work days in a month. Manage own travel schedule and logistics. Must be comfortable with frequent air travel and navigating through cities of customer sites. Must be willing to get a passport. o Comply with Ekso Bionics Clinical Competency and Training Outline to complete education and training Communicate timely and effectively with all members of Clinical Team and Engineering Teams o Report status of training weeks o Collect feedback from customers and circulate to Clinical and Engineering Teams o Notify Director of Clinical Operations with concerns for site competency o Notify Engineering Team and Director of Clinical Operations with concerns for device function Customer Success Program Management o Manage customer base in clinical territory for program implementation, program development and device implementation o Responsible for clinical customer support and subscription model renewal. o Maintain relationships with customer clinical team members and customer leadership to develop customer for life mentality Qualifications: Core Competencies, Skills and Experience Requirements o Must be a licensed physical therapist with at least four (4) years of experience treating in an inpatient and/or outpatient rehabilitation setting, with at least a two (2) year focus in spinal cord injury (SCI) rehabilitation, stroke/CVA rehabilitation, or other neurological conditions that require gait training. o Must have thorough understanding of and demonstrated experience working with CVA and spinal cord injuries or other neurological conditions at all levels. Must understand clinical risks and complications associated with diagnosis, and have experience gait training patients with spinal cord injury or other neurological conditions. o Have exceptional physical evaluation skills. o Experience as a Clinical Instructor to physical therapy student(s) or other applicable healthcare instruction. o Additional experience in neurological rehabilitation and teaching rehabilitation professionals preferred. o Comfortable using tools to adjust devices (Similar to wheelchair adjustment skills). o Robotic experience preferred o Provides excellent verbal and written communication to various team members in a timely manner. Requires effective communication to convey, develop and implement ideas to various customers and teams. o Possesses a high sense of urgency, initiative and effective decision making skills. Must present a professional demeanor and demonstrate an ability to work with a diverse group of individuals. o Is energetic, works quickly and efficiently with detail and accuracy; able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment. o Proficient with computer use including Microsoft office suite and databases used by the business. Degrees & Licenses o Graduate degree from accredited Physical Therapy program and be a licensed physical therapist. o Must be CPR and first aid certified.
