Job Description Job Title: Licensed Therapist (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) Location: Carlsbad, CA Setting: Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Compensation: $100,000 – $110,000 annually (DOE) Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Trauma Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team within a structured Intensive Outpatient Program. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in trauma-informed care, exceptional therapeutic skills, and a passion for supporting adult clients navigating complex mental health and substance use challenges. This role is well-suited for a clinician who thrives in a collaborative environment, values evidence-based treatment, and is committed to fostering long-term healing and empowerment. Key Responsibilities • Provide individual, family, and group therapy using trauma-informed, evidence-based modalities (e.g., EMDR, DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, Somatic therapies)., • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and risk assessments., • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with program standards and client needs., • Facilitate structured therapeutic groups focused on trauma recovery, emotional regulation, relapse prevention, and coping skill development., • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, case managers, nurses, and support staff, to coordinate and deliver integrated care., • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with state and program requirements., • Participate in clinical meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities., • Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and de-escalation support as needed., • Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines, program protocols, and legal regulations (HIPAA, BBS standards, Joint Commission, etc.). Qualifications • Must hold an active California license as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Psychologist (PhD/PsyD)., • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience working with trauma and co-occurring disorders (IOP/PHP or residential experience preferred)., • Formal training or certification in trauma-focused modalities strongly preferred (e.g., EMDR, CPT, TF-CBT, Somatic Experiencing)., • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and evidence-based treatment models., • Experience working with adult clients in mental health or dual-diagnosis settings., • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills., • Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced clinical environment.
