Job DescriptionSalary: Summary/Objective We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and licensed therapist that will provide individual and group therapy to clients dealing with a variety of mental health, behavioral, and emotional challenges. This role requires strong therapeutic skills, the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and a passion for helping youth achieve emotional stability and life skills. Required Education and Experience • Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field., • Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or other appropriate therapeutic licensure in the state of [State]., • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a therapeutic setting, preferably in residential treatment or a related environment working with youth., • Experience working with individuals with complex behavioral and mental health issues, including trauma, substance use, and emotional disturbances., • Knowledge of evidence-informed therapeutic approaches such as trauma-informed care and TST-FC. General • Enforces company and program policy within the scope of the job function, • Ensures a normal and supportive environment for every child placed with Azleway, • Advocates for all children and coordinates services through multiple systems including STAR Health, HHSC Behavioral Health Services, Early Childhood Intervention, and the education and child welfare systems, • Coordinates care with medical consenters and participates in STAR Health Service Coordination (dependent and based on the childs individual eligibility), • Complete and maintain all required training, including but not limited to treatment model Trauma Systems Therapy- Foster Care (TST-FC), • Provide individual therapy to residents, utilizing evidence-informed therapeutic modalities to address emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues., • Facilitate group therapy sessions aimed at skill-building, emotional regulation, and behavioral change., • Assess the psychological and emotional needs of each resident and develop personalized treatment plans., • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes., • Work closely with the clinical team, including case managers and medical staff, to ensure coordinated and holistic care., • Maintain consistent communication with Azleways administration and treatment team about resident progress, challenges, and updates., • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of all therapy sessions, treatment plans, progress notes, and incident reports in compliance with facility policies and legal requirements., • Ensure that all documentation meets the standards set forth by state and federal regulations, licensing agencies, and the facility., • Respond to and manage crises effectively, de-escalating situations involving emotional distress, aggression, or behavioral issues., • Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic support during high-stress situations or emergencies., • Adhere to all relevant ethical guidelines, professional standards, and confidentiality requirements as set by licensing boards and the facility., • Keep up-to-date with current best practices, research, and legal requirements in the field of mental health and therapeutic services., • Empower children to set and achieve personal goals, fostering self-efficacy and preparing them for independence. Communicates with families and individuals from a variety of backgrounds and values with ease and respect. Work Schedule The work schedule is typically 9 am - 5pm with some variation expected due to the nature of the position. This may include nights, weekends, and early mornings as dictated by the needs of the job. (Examples may include taking phone calls in the evenings, flexing days due to work requirements, attending functions with families, attending conferences, trainings, or facilitating transportation if necessary).
