Ideal for experienced L&D nurses, maternity nurses, and OB RNs seeking a 13-week travel RN contract in the Binghamton/Johnson City area. • Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) / Labor and Delivery Nurse / Maternity Nurse, • Location: Johnson City, NY 13790 (Binghamton area) — New York nursing jobs / Southern Tier), • Setting: Delivery Room — OB/GYN, maternity care, • Shift: 12-hour night shifts, every third weekend (Night shift L&D RN), • Hours per Week: 36 (3 x 12-hour shifts), • Contract Type: Travel Nursing (Travel RN), • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 27, 2026), • On-site: This is an on-site delivery room position, • Scheduling: Blocked scheduling may be accommodated depending on current needs, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2700–$2840 per week (based on experience and qualifications), • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (L&D RN / OB nursing), • Operating Room (OR) experience preferred — helpful for C-section support, • Experience with high-risk OB patients and ability to perform vaginal exams, • Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required, • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, • BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross), • ACLS Certification required, • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification required, • FM (Fetal Monitoring) Certification required, • Strong collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced delivery room, • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), CCRN, and additional OB/L&D certifications, • Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, • Serve as primary and/or accountable nurse as designated by unit assignment (L&D primary nurse), • Provide evidence-based maternity and neonatal nursing care in the delivery room, • Support labor management, assist during deliveries, and provide care for high-risk OB patients, • Perform and document vaginal exams, fetal monitoring interpretation, and neonatal assessments, • Safely administer medications and maintain current pharmacology knowledge for obstetric care, • Ensure compliance with nursing practice standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements, • Participate in shared governance, unit council, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives, • Engage in ongoing professional development, mandatory education, and integration of nursing research into practice, • Act as a preceptor or support new employees and nursing students in a learning environment, • Perform Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator duties as assigned and participate in the Clinical Ladder Program Apply now to be considered for this Labor & Delivery RN (L&D Nurse) travel assignment in Johnson City, NY (13790).
