Job Overview: We are seeking a diligent and experienced Food Service Cook to join our team with a focus on creating a positive dining experience for the residents and guests of My Place Home. This role involves preparing, cooking, and serving food, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, and ensuring a high level of customer service. Key Responsibilities: • Develop effective menus to meet operational needs and service levels, • Prepare menu items in advance according to the intake and events, • Possess the ability to create food items of various dietary preferences, • Restock kitchen for future use, • Maintain stock levels and organization in placing food orders, • Order food, supplies, and equipment to meet operational goals, • Assist in budget development and monitor costs, • Manage food deliveries and stock food items*Duties of the role are subject to change. Skills & Qualifications: • Must be ServSafe Certified, either with a Food Handlers Certificate or more advanced, • At least 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen, • Must be able to read, use basic math skills to understand, and follow recipe measurements and proportions, • Constant standing, walking, bending, stretching, and repetitive motions, • Strong customer service skills with professionalism, • Proactive and solution-oriented, • Able to work independentlyThis position requires working 3 days a week for 6 hours a day.
