Job Title: Specifications Coordinator - Food Industry About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Specifications Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will manage and maintain product specifications, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency across all product lines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, R&D, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Affairs to support new product development, continuous improvement initiatives, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities * Create, update, and maintain product specifications, labels, and technical documentation in line with company standards and industry regulations. * Review raw material and finished product specifications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements. * Manage customer and supplier specification portals, ensuring all information is accurate, current, and delivered on time. * Collaborate with R&D and Quality Assurance teams to ensure product specifications align with formulations, production processes, and quality parameters. * Coordinate specification approvals with customers and suppliers, ensuring timely communication and resolution of discrepancies. * Support new product launches by preparing, reviewing, and distributing product information and technical data. * Maintain databases and systems related to specifications management, ensuring data integrity and traceability. * Monitor regulatory and industry trends, assisting in compliance with FDA, USDA, GFSI, FSMA, and other relevant requirements. * Assist in responding to customer inquiries, audits, and documentation requests. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Quality Assurance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). * 2+ years of experience in the food industry, preferably in quality assurance, regulatory, R&D, or specifications management. * Strong knowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, GFSI, FSMA, allergen management, labeling laws). * Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with specification systems, PLM, or ERP software preferred. * Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
