Job Description Lawyers On Demand is currently seeking skilled applicants on behalf on a highly regarded client for their opening as a Litigation Paralegal. This is a 100% remote contract position with a part-time schedule of 15-20 hours per week. The client is seeking experienced Litigation Paralegals to provide comprehensive support for a diverse caseload -- individuals in this role will support a partner and a part-time associate. Preferred candidates will be self-starters who can manage litigation tasks with minimal supervision. Litigation Paralegal - Corporate Client • 100% Remote, • Immediate Hiring Need -- Anticipated Duration through at least January 2026., • Part-Time; 15-20 hours per week, • Contract pay starting at $40/hour Duties: • Manage case calendars and deadlines, including scheduling hearings, depositions, and meetings., • Draft initial versions of basic pleadings, discovery requests (e.g., interrogatories, requests for production), and responses for attorney review., • Coordinate the initiation and follow-up for service of process., • Organize and maintain electronic case files, ensuring documents are properly indexed and accessible., • Serve as a professional point of contact for opposing counsel, clients, and court personnel., • Handle discovery-related tasks, including reviewing, organizing, and summarizing documents for production., • Actively manage the litigation schedule, proactively alerting the attorney to upcoming deadlines and potential conflicts., • Think critically about case strategy and workflow, making suggestions to the attorney for the next steps in litigation. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a litigation paralegal, including a strong understanding of discovery-related tasks., • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight and take initiative., • Proficiency with legal case management software and e-filing systems (knowledge of Tennessee state and federal court procedures is a plus)., • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality. Preferred Experience: • Experience with litigation in Tennessee state and federal courts., • Prior experience in one or more of the following practice areas: construction law, real estate law, estate and probate administration, or foreclosure., • Experience in any of the additional jurisdictions’ state, federal, or bankruptcy courts: Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois.
