Job Description Job Title: Assembler Level 3 Job Description This role focuses on advanced mechanical assembly and cross-functional support within a modern manufacturing environment. You will assemble HVAC and mechanical components using hand and power tools, support installation and maintenance activities, and step into a variety of roles as operational needs change. The position requires strong technical skills, flexibility, and the ability to troubleshoot and document work accurately while collaborating closely with a diverse team. Responsibilities • Perform mechanical assembly of small and large parts on an assembly line, ensuring consistent quality and low error rates., • Use hand tools, power tools, and schematics to assemble components accurately and efficiently., • Provide cross-functional support by filling in for other team members in roles such as HVAC technician, installer, or maintenance worker as operational needs require., • Carry out a wide range of HVAC-related tasks, including system installation, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and system testing when needed., • Assist in diagnosing issues with heating, cooling, and ventilation systems and perform necessary repairs to restore proper operation., • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of work performed, including tasks completed, issues resolved, and parts used, and ensure job logs are updated for tracking and reporting., • Collaborate closely with lead technicians and other team members to complete projects on time and in line with established standards and procedures., • Follow all company safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times., • Support production and general manufacturing activities as needed to meet production goals and schedules., • Demonstrate flexibility by taking on various roles and responsibilities as required, including occasional weekend work when operational demands arise., • Train and mentor junior team members, sharing best practices in assembly, troubleshooting, and quality control., • Apply quality control processes and manufacturing best practices to ensure products meet specifications and performance requirements. Essential Skills • High school diploma or equivalent., • At least 3–5 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing roles., • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working with HVAC or mechanical systems, including hands-on installation, maintenance, or repairs., • Strong experience working on an assembly line, including production and general manufacturing activities., • Proficiency in mechanical assembly of both small and large parts., • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for assembly tasks., • Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents, including engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications., • Solid understanding of HVAC systems and components, with the ability to adapt to different tasks as needed., • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for diagnosing HVAC system issues and implementing effective solutions., • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities applied to both mechanical and HVAC systems., • Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior team members and contribute to team development., • Strong knowledge of quality control processes and manufacturing best practices., • Comfort taking on various roles as needed, with a flexible and proactive approach to work. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Technical training or an associate degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is preferred., • Experience working in a fast-paced production or assembly line environment., • Ability to consistently assemble parts with a low rate of error using schematics and technical instructions., • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with lead technicians and cross-functional teams., • Willingness to support occasional weekend work when operational needs require it., • High level of manual dexterity and coordination for detailed assembly work. Work Environment There is first shift position with hours from Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with the potential for occasional weekend work depending on operational needs. There is also a second shift position with hours from Monday to Thursday, 3pm-1am, earning a 10% differential. The role is based in a modern, air-conditioned manufacturing facility featuring industry 4.0 technology. The work involves standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching as required, and climbing portable ladders when necessary. You must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds and have good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination for detailed assembly tasks. Personal protective equipment is required and provided, and the workplace emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to established procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
