The role is designed for a clinician who values both autonomy and structure, and who wants to grow within a stable, well-supported group practice. We prioritize clinical quality, consistency, and long-term fit. Caseloads are built thoughtfully with support from the practice. While timelines vary, steady caseload development typically occurs over 6-12 weeks. Clinicians work toward approximately 24 clinical hours per week, with scheduling shaped around both client demand and clinician availability. Given the needs of our client population, some evening and/or weekend availability may be expected. In addition to client sessions, therapists participate in: • Weekly group supervision, • Biweekly, structured clinical trainings, • Individual case consultation, • Ongoing collaboration with the clinical team Administrative work, training and supervision can be completed remotely. WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR (CANDIDATE PROFILE): This position is ideal for a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist several years post-licensure who is seeking a long-term professional home. You may be a strong fit if you: • Have experience working with couples, with an understanding of systemic work and an interest in deepening those skills, • Enjoy being part of a collaborative team and value mentorship, consultation, and feedback, • Communicate clearly, are reliable, and committed to high-quality clinical care, • Prefer the support, structure, and resources of a group practice over solo private practice, • Value stability and are looking for a long-term opportunity to grow within a practice, rather than a short-term or transitional role, • Are ready to make Nassau Wellness your professional home and are not currently maintaining a private practice or clinical role within another group practice RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide individual, couples, and family therapy, with a strong emphasis on couples work, • Develop and maintain thoughtful treatment plans and timely progress notes, • Participate in consultation calls with prospective clients, • Collaborate with other providers when clinically appropriate, • Engage in required readings, trainings, and supervision, • Use the practice’s EHR for documentation and scheduling (training provided) TRAINING & SUPERVISION: All clinicians participate in: • Weekly group supervision led by the Clinical Director, • Biweekly clinical trainings, which have included topics such as:, • Desire discrepancy, • Infidelity and betrayal repair, • LGBTQ+ affirmative couples work, • High-conflict couples, • Sexual intimacy and attachment Training is structured, intentional, and directly applicable to clinical work. COMPENSATION: Compensation is per client session, ranging from $75-150 per session, inclusive of documentation time. Rates are determined by experience, specialization, and session type. All compensation is gross pay (before taxes). Additional compensation includes: • $25/hour for supervision and clinical training, • $15/hour for administrative tasks, • $15 per 15-minute prospective client consultation call ADDITIONAL BENEFITS: • Paid Time Off (1 hour earned per 30 client session hours worked), • NYS Sick Time (1 hour earned per 30 client session hours worked) CAREER GROWTH: Nassau Wellness values long-term clinician development and prioritizes retaining clinicians who are aligned with our mission and values.
