Job Description Summary of Position: The Production Engineer will handle production engineering assignments of a broad scope and moderate to complex. This position is responsible for monitoring and optimizing various production activities to maximize economic performance and ensure compliance with governmental and contractual requirements. Overall responsibilities will be a blend of completions and production, following wells from “birth to death.” Primary Job Responsibilities: • Lead production optimization efforts of all wells; identify and drive opportunities to increase production, enhance well EUR, reduce operating expenses and apply innovative technologies., • Artificial lift selection, design, and troubleshooting: primarily gas lift, plunger lift and rod lift systems., • Develop choke management strategies for new development., • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute production enhancement projects., • Monitor, record, and report new well performance., • Under limited supervision, identify and execute well servicing opportunities for maintenance and artificial lift improvements., • Under limited supervision, provide engineering support to field staff as they troubleshoot problematic wells., • Under limited supervision, perform economic analysis and write project AFE’s., • Lead lookback exercises for workover and LOE projects, • Ensure State and Federal compliance of all area wells., • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the field operations team., • Provide support or lead other special projects as required, • Participate in CIVI’s Health, Safety, and Environmental program and ensure that EHS&G standards and policies are being followed., • Reduce CIVI’s total emissions to help achieve net-zero status., • Strong initiative and ability to work independently in a team environment., • Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with CIVI Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements., • Assure work performed adheres to CIVI standards., • Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies: • Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with CIVI Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements., • Excellent interpersonal and written communication, attention to detail and organizational skills are a must., • Ability to meet deadlines and advance multiple projects concurrently. Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field required., • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in exploration and production., • Experience with oil production facilities preferred but not required., • Experience in tight-oil plays preferred but not required. Travel & Additional Requirements: • Work is performed at a CIVI location M-Thurs with an option to work remotely on Friday., • Schedule: traditional 40-hour workweek or alternative schedule of 9 hour works days M-Thurs and 4-hour workdays Friday., • Travel is required to the Civitas field locations and work sites., • Civitas is a drug free workplace.
