Job DescriptionAbout the Role Join our Service team as the on-site expert who installs, commissions, services, and repairs commercial laundry equipment for both internal and external customers. You’ll uphold Alliance Laundry Systems quality standards, policies, and procedures while ensuring every install and repair is safe, accurate, and customer-ready. A Day in the Life You start your day reviewing your ticket queue in our phone/email/ticketing dispatch system. After confirming your parts inventory and loading your company vehicle, you head to the first site. On arrival, you set equipment, run utilities checks, complete start-up and operation verification, and train the customer on usage. Between jobs, you document work performed, order parts as needed, and update the Service Manager on any escalations. If an emergency call pops up, you pivot quickly to troubleshoot, repair, and get the customer back online. At day’s end, you review invoices and work orders, reconcile vehicle inventory, and submit expense reports. What You’ll Do • Install, start up, and verify proper operation of commercial laundry equipment following company standards and safety practices., • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues; repair or replace parts and return equipment to service., • Provide clear findings, recommendations, and usage instructions to customers after installation/testing., • Perform routine preventive maintenance and coordinate the repair or ordering of parts to replace worn or faulty components., • Disassemble and reassemble equipment for maintenance and repair as needed., • Research, place, and track parts orders; review work orders and invoices to ensure required parts are ordered in time to meet deadlines., • Create accurate service reports summarizing work performed., • Maintain inventory on the assigned company vehicle and complete timely, accurate expense reporting., • Travel to customer locations for on-site installs, troubleshooting, and repairs; respond to emergency/unscheduled maintenance requests assigned by the Service Manager., • Escalate critical issues to the Service Manager and contribute ideas to improve processes and best practices., • Assist with additional tasks to support efficient department operations.QualificationsEducation & Experience, • High school diploma or equivalent required., • 3+ years’ experience in commercial, military, industrial, or manufacturing equipment repair preferred; an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience will be considered., • Working knowledge of single-phase electrical power/equipment required., • Experience supporting customers via phone/email/ticketing dispatch systems preferred., • Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.Skills & Abilities, • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues., • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings., • Organized and detail-oriented; capable of prioritizing multiple assignments and meeting deadlines., • Clear written and verbal communication skills; professional, positive, and enthusiastic with all stakeholders., • Resilient and adaptable; comfortable navigating change and ambiguity., • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, initiative, and tenacity.Travel, • Travel limited to the assigned service territory; some overnight travel required.Standard & Physical Requirements, • Activities include sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, stooping, bending, climbing, and fine manual work., • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs frequently; assistive devices provided for heavier items., • Regularly required to talk and hear and use hands to manipulate objects/controls.
