Role Description We are looking for a Head of Operations to lead and own the company’s end-to-end operational engine. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring that customers, projects and data are delivered with the highest levels of quality, efficiency and reliability. Reporting directly to the CEO and managing a team of 6–8, you will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Business Development, acting as the ultimate owner of operational execution and customer outcomes. This role combines strategy, team leadership, and hands-on execution, with a clear mandate to deliver predictable and high-quality outcomes. Main Responsibilities Study Operations & Delivery • Own end-to-end operational delivery of secondary health data projects., • Define, implement and continuously improve project workflows, including viability assessment, processing, verification, validation, and delivery., • Oversee data processing, ensuring timelines, quality, compliance and traceability., • Plan and scale operations according to forecasted demand, maintaining predictability and operational control., • Manage resources efficiently to support pipeline growth and client onboarding volumes., • Own data quality, verification and validation standards., • Define and monitor operational KPIs., • Drive continuous improvement to reduce operational friction and enhance predictability. Leadership of Clinical and Operational Teams • Lead multidisciplinary teams, including:, • Clinical experts responsible for project definition and design, • Data and operational roles managing delivery and quality, • Empower teams to take full ownership of projects end-to-end, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and product capabilities., • Promote a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and proactive problem-solving., • Willingness to travel to Barcelona on a regular basis. Customer Success & Onboarding • Own the entire customer onboarding journey, from contract signature to first value delivered., • Ensure customers are fully enabled on the platform: access, training, documentation, and processes., • Lead Customer Success, managing escalations, fostering adoption, and incorporating feedback systematically into operational processes and product input. Collaboration with Product • Own customer satisfaction and operational outcomes, acting as the primary owner of delivery quality and reliability., • Collect and structure operational and customer feedback related to platform usage, data quality, and delivery workflows., • Collaborate closely with the Head of Product to translate operational insights and customer needs into clear product requirements., • Contribute data-driven insights to product prioritisation discussions without owning product decisions. Qualifications Experience: • 5+ years in Operations, Delivery, Project Management, or similar roles., • Proven experience in healthcare, life sciences, clinical research, or data platforms., • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams (technical, clinical, operational)., • Track record of scaling operations in startups or scale-ups is a strong plus. Knowledge & Skills: • Strong understanding of data workflows, QA, and operational processes, ideally in health data., • Familiarity with regulated environments (GDPR, data governance)., • Experience managing complex B2B projects and operational metrics., • Data-driven mindset with focus on measurable operational outcomes., • Fluent in Spanish and English Soft Skills: • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach., • Strong prioritisation and decision-making skills., • Excellent communication across technical, clinical, and business stakeholders., • High sense of ownership and accountability.
