Join Roche, where every voice matters. /ph3Job Overview /h3pThe Facilities Engineer is responsible for delivering engineering projects, coordinating technical maintenance activities, and ensuring the reliable operation of building systems and critical utilities at the Roche Sant Cugat site. Reporting to the Lead HARD Services, the role acts as the technical interface between Roche and external service providers, ensuring maintenance activities, engineering projects, compliance requirements, and technical documentation are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Roche standards. The position combines technical expertise with strong project coordination and stakeholder management, focusing on execution rather than strategic ownership. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliManage and deliver engineering and automation projects from start to finish, including small- and medium-sized engineering and infrastructure projects, and support larger CAPEX initiatives led by Lead HARD Services. Define project scope, track timelines, manage risks, and ensure a structured handover to operations. Prepare and maintain critical project documentation. /liliCoordinate the daily activities of technical contractors, monitor service performance against established KPIs, and ensure accurate reporting through Roche maintenance systems. Integrate contractors into Roche’s tools and dashboards, ensuring they report standardized, high-quality maintenance metrics to guarantee reliable operational data. /liliEnsure audit readiness and regulatory compliance: support and coordinate technical audits and official inspections (including APQ, Low Voltage, and Fire Protection/PCI). Maintain all maintenance records, certifications, and technical documentation fully organized, updated, and ready for review, and follow up corrective actions arising from audits and inspections until closure. /liliSupport sustainability and digital transformation: contribute to energy-saving and carbon-reduction initiatives through efficient asset management, maximizing the use of digital tools to enable data-driven decision-making. /liliMaintain collaborative and proactive communication with internal stakeholders: build strong, trust-based relationships across departments, be proactively ready to support other areas, and update team leaders before technical interventions or incidents impact their daily operations. /liliOversee daily technical operations and asset maintenance: coordinate preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities performed by external service providers, ensuring asset availability, technical quality, safety and regulatory compliance for all building utilities (HVAC, electricity, water, and gas) and critical automated logistics assets to ensure maximum operational availability and safety. /liliMaintain the integrity of asset and maintenance data within the CMMS, ensuring work orders, preventive maintenance plans, spare parts information and technical documentation remain accurate and up to date. /liliSupport root cause investigations for technical failures, proposing and implementing corrective and preventive actions to improve asset reliability. /li /ulh3Who You Are /h3ulliFocus on solving problems rather than explaining difficulties, presenting practical options when technical challenges arise. /liliBuild strong relationships across departments and update internal clients proactively before technical issues affect their operations. /liliFocus on making things happen by directing external partners and supervising results, rather than performing hands-on manual work. /liliMaintain a highly organized approach to managing technical projects and use KPIs to drive continuous improvement. /liliPerform well under pressure in regulated environments, managing multiple priorities safely and efficiently. /liliResults-oriented, structured, and comfortable in a regulated, dynamic environment. /liliApproach daily challenges with a constructive, solution-focused mindset, building warm, trust-based relationships across teams through empathy, open communication, and genuine collaboration. /li /ulh3Qualifications Experience /h3ulliBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Automation). /lili5-7 years of experience in Engineering, Facilities Management, or Project Management. /liliStrong background in managing technical and engineering projects including the use of project tracking methodologies or tools. /liliGood understanding of local regulations and official codes applicable to building and industrial installations. /liliGood communication skills in English and Spanish. /liliSolution-oriented approach, a constructive and positive attitude, and the ability to build trust and communicate clearly with internal clients. /li /ulpRoche is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
