Site Manager – Electrical Operationally reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Manager will be in charge of the site works phase of the project by planning, coordinating and monitoring site teams of field services engineers, installation teams and sub-vendors for installation and commissioning (from pre-delivery of equipment to the site till complete L2-L5) of Schneider Electric equipment till successful acceptance by the customer. Act as the primary contact for the customer and general contractor for all construction and commissioning field activities on the project during site activity. Attend daily site meetings, toolbox talks and conduct task briefings as required with customers, contractors and suppliers protecting company interests (cost, resources, schedule) Prepare, monitor and update detailed installation & commissioning schedule and collaborate with Project Manager to ensure that commissioning activities are integrated into the overall project programme. Overseeing on-site works and teams of technicians ensuring they adhere to all health and safety regulations and HSE plan on site. Monitoring the works and providing weekly progress reports to project manager; Collect timesheets and organize the daily report (maintain a site diary) identifying performed activities, roadblocks, and downtime. Management and monitoring of day-to-day site activities, anticipate right resource levels and ensure timely and efficient execution of fieldwork. Ensure method statements are communicated, understood, acknowledged, and followed by all site staff. Efficiently and effectively directing other employees/contractors engaged in work on behalf of the company. Ensure all construction complies with design specifications and feedback to the design team in case of modifications to be implemented (re-mark drawings). Identifying problems with systems or products along with installation and testing. Ensure that all systems and equipment are properly installed, tested, and commissioned. Keep pace with change to identify and tackle on-site modification and potential change orders in collaboration with the project manager. Carefully control the snags list until successful closure. Ensure active and fast response, leading the preparation of an action plan to close the snags. Prepare/Review/approve concise commissioning method statements where necessary. Completing the necessary certificates for handover to the client and witness testing and associated documentation, as required. Requirements: Previous experience in managing and working with teams of contractors, as site manager or on-site project manager Experience in Datacenter projects with major global customers in the business Experience in Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Switchgear Experience in commissioning of electrical equipment Assertive and strong stakeholder communication skills Sensitive to developing and maintaining relationships with customers, general contractor, equipment suppliers, and manufacturers. Main responsibilities of the position are the following: • Leading execution team of each project and all stages of the project (identify necessary resources and define responsibilities of the project team)., • Review technical documentation to optimize the solution and assure the customer requirement compliance., • Review and take decisions on technical comments raised by the customer., • Lead kick off meetings with customer, factories, and subcontractors., • Monitor and control projects progress to ensure the on-time delivery of the projects. Using tracking board tools and take pro-active decisions and actions to prevent any slippages., • Ensure full & effective reporting of project progress & status to management., • Risks & Opportunities analysis, identifying, mitigating, and controlling any potential situations that could impact (negatively or positively) the performance of the project., • Leading customer communication. Meet customer requirements applicable to the implementation of projects to control and increase their satisfaction., • Collaborate with purchasing department in the negotiation of subcontracts, with consequent negotiation of terms, quality and price in each of projects that are executed., • Interlocution with international factories of group., • As interlocutor with subcontractors during execution of the project, monitorization in terms of delivery time (lead time), cost and quality., • Obtain margin improvements and results budgeted in the projects and issues under your responsibility., • Run regular Project reviews and provide best estimates of margin at completion., • Variation Order & Claim process for both Customer and main suppliers. Obtain Variation Orders for any deviation from the contractual scope., • Technical Engineer or Bachelor of Engineering focused on Electrical Distribution., • Engineering and execution on Electrical Distribution Substation., • Project Management., • Knowledge and experience in execution of MV / LV electrical installations, • Knowledge in protection and control systems applied to Electrical Distribution Systems., • Leadership skills: team management and team player., • Customer and results orientation., • Self-organized and with high analytical thinking.
