Keep reading and tumble down the Mews rabbit hole… About the role First things first: you want to know what you’re actually applying for. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distill it down to a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this: As a Senior Product Builder for our Product Knowledge Activation team, you’ll work outside the traditional team structure, identifying problems, speaking to customers and shipping impactful solutions, end to end. You’ll be trusted to move fast, stay aligned and take full ownership of everything you deliver. In this role, your primary mission is to drive engaged, successful users through embedded learning, training systems and intelligent product experiences. You’ll connect how customers learn with how they use the product, ensuring that education, onboarding and real‑world usage reinforce each other. This is not a traditional engineering role. It’s a hybrid of builder, maker and product thinker, designed for people who thrive in ambiguity and care deeply about real‑world impact. Responsibilities Take end-to-end ownership of product‑training initiatives, from problem definition to prototype to production Build rapidly, ship often and iterate based on real feedback from customers and learners Drive the success of engaged users through embedded learning, onboarding and in‑product education, identifying gaps and building solutions that improve activation, adoption and retention Lead the design and implementation of systems that power: Product‑led growth mechanics Intelligent onboarding and automation workflows Embedded learning experiences (e.g. Mews University, in‑app guidance, contextual training and Smart Tips) Training content delivery, enrollment, progress tracking and completion data pipelines Reliable user provisioning and lifecycle management across product and learning platforms (e.g. PMS, Intellum, Flexkeep Identity mapping and data integrity between systems (e.g. user IDs vs email, role/field mapping, access control) Multi‑property operational tooling and business intelligence AI‑powered Smart Tips and co‑pilot product features Own and evolve integrations between Mews and external learning/content platforms, ensuring they are scalable, reliable and require minimal manual intervention Identify and resolve systemic issues impacting customers at scale (e.g., failed enrollments, broken syncs, missing user data), and turn fixes into robust, long‑term solutions Work closely with Product Managers, Designers and Learning/Content teams to stay aligned on direction without being dependent on them for day‑to‑day execution Operate as a self‑contained unit: making decisions, running experiments and owning delivery Set a high bar for technical and product quality. You won’t just ship features, you’ll build systems that are scalable, resilient and directly impact customer success Mentor engineers who wish to become Product Builders and other Product Builders to drive adoption of modern development practices Champion AI‑native development across the team, working faster, smarter and with less waste Make pragmatic use of cloud‑native platforms, integrations and managed services to solve problems without reinventing the wheel Requirements 7+ years of experience building and shipping high‑impact product experiences at scale Experience as a senior engineer in a product‑driven company (startup, founder, or scale‑up experience preferred) Strong product instincts: you care about the problem as much as the implementation, especially when it comes to user onboarding, enablement and learning‑driven adoption Experience building or integrating with learning platforms, content systems, LMS / LXP tools, or in‑app guidance solutions is a strong plus Experience working with system integrations, APIs and data synchronization, including diagnosing and fixing issues related to data mismatches, failed syncs or incomplete mappings Strong understanding of user identity, provisioning and access management across multiple systems (e.g., mapping users across platforms, handling lifecycle states like active/inactive, ensuring consistency) Comfortable defining scope, navigating ambiguity and making trade‑offs in real time Experience operating without dedicated Product Managers or Product Designers, or a strong proven ability to do so Consistently lead by example: whether by coaching, elevating team standards, or proactively unblocking others Take ownership well beyond your code, into customer outcomes, product adoption, learning effectiveness and system reliability Expert in and actively working with modern AI development tools, such as: GitHub Copilot for rapid code generation and refactoring Cursor or other AI‑native IDEs to boost development speed and insight Lovable , or similar tools, to prototype flows and gather user feedback fast Emerging AI agents and workflow automation tools that help reduce friction, test faster and unlock scale What’s in it for you? Sometimes the work can be challenging and there can be a lot of it, but you’ll always be able to rely on those around you. Yes, we’re ambitious and we move fast, but we know the value of fun and taking a breather. We have slack channels for almost every interest imaginable, and an all‑company meeting every Friday gives you the chance to ask any question to our leadership team. If our mission, values and Life at Mews sound like your kind of place, we’d love to hear from you! Everyone is welcome at Mews We’re an equal opportunities employer. To reimagine the art of hospitality, we need teams that represent our global and diverse customers and users. Our differences make Mews, so we welcome people of all backgrounds and identities to work with us. We embrace different perspectives, encourage trying new things and want everyone to feel safe bringing their authentic self to work. If this sounds like you and you’re ready to join a global, innovative and exciting community, we’d love to hear from you. One very important note: don’t hold back. Even if you don’t meet 100% of the criteria listed in this job description, we still encourage you to apply. We believe everyone should have equal access to opportunities and we’re committed to providing an inclusive experience, so please let us know if there’s anything we can do to support you during the application process. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, disability, or any other protected characteristic. We can’t wait to see you. AI and Hiring at Mews At Mews, we believe AI enhances our work but should not replace what humanises it and makes it individually ours. We see AI as a tool to support research, generate ideas, and drive efficiency, but creativity, critical thinking, and opinions differentiate us. As you apply, feel free to use AI to help structure your thoughts — but ensure your application and conversations with us reflect your personal opinions, capabilities and experience. We’re building an AI‑enabled workforce, and that starts with people who think independently and bring fresh ideas to the table. Because at Mews, making work more human is the ultimate goal. #J-18808-Ljbffr
