We are incorporating a new INSUDER as a Senior Actuary to join our Finance area in Madrid. The challenge! In this role, you will help shape and elevate Insud Pharma’s enterprise risk management (ERM) strategy, combining actuarial rigor with a business-oriented approach. You will assess and model both insurable and non-insurable risks, support decisions on risk retention vs. transfer, and contribute to advanced solutions such as virtual captives and Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) mechanisms. You will work cross-functionally to strengthen governance, improve risk visibility and deliver decision-ready insights for senior leadership. Key Responsibilities • Identify, assess and model insurable and non-insurable risks across the organization., • Design and analyze risk financing, retention and transfer strategies, balancing protection and cost efficiency., • Participate in the structuring and evaluation of virtual captive solutions and ART mechanisms., • Develop quantitative models to measure exposure, severity, frequency and the financial impact of risks., • Define, analyze and monitor risk tolerance and risk appetite metrics, supporting management steering., • Build scenarios, stress testing and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decision-making., • Review and optimize existing insurance programs (coverage, retentions, terms and cost efficiency)., • Lead strategic risk and insurance initiatives, including the design of new coverages for emerging risks (e.g., cyber/data breaches, privacy, technology-related risks) and support to business development and M&A (risk/insurance due diligence, exposure assessment, risk transfer/retention recommendations, and post-deal integration of programs and governance)., • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Audit, Compliance and business teams to align risk management with corporate strategy and ERM principles., • Engage with brokers, insurers and reinsurers, and coordinate key inputs to support program design and risk financing decisions., • Prepare executive reports and presentations for senior leadership, translating technical analysis into clear recommendations., • Support the implementation of risk governance frameworks and the definition and monitoring of KPIs/KRIs. What do you need? • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related fields., • 8+ years of experience in senior actuarial roles and/or corporate risk management positions., • Demonstrated, hands-on experience with insurable and non-insurable risks, international insurance programs, virtual captives and ART (Alternative Risk Transfer) structures., • Strong experience in ERM concepts, including risk appetite and risk tolerance frameworks., • Experience in top-tier international insurance companies is highly valued., • Advanced quantitative modeling and statistical analysis skills; ability to translate technical outputs into business decisions., • High proficiency in Excel and strong command of analytical/statistical tools (R, Python, SAS or similar)., • Strong communication skills and executive presence, able to interact with senior stakeholders internally and externally., • High level of English (written and spoken)., • Experience in industrial/pharma/manufacturing and/or multinational environments is highly valued.
