We are creating a new team in Plytix that we call Business Intelligence. It includes Finance, Revenue Operations, AI Automations Specialists, and Data Analysts. We’re looking for someone to lead that team along with all their projects. The Head of BI will report directly to the CEO and help design and implement business-critical processes, as well as establish a new foundation for business intelligence that will make Plytix even more data-driven. What is Plytix? Plytix is the world's leading Product Information Management (PIM) platform for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Plytix PIM helps companies store and organize product information ranging from descriptions and images to prices, and other specifications, in one place. Essentially, it's a handy tool that makes managing and updating product data a whole lot easier. About our culture This is where you’d typically see a long paragraph of boring text that no one reads, peppered with corporate buzzwords that don’t mean anything. But, Plytix is no typical company, so we’ll spare you that. Instead, watch this video, and if you like what you see, keep scrolling. What’s the opportunity? This is your chance to join a company with a culture that’s genuinely different—in the best way. We’ve been recognized as one of the best places to work in Spain by Great Place to Work®, which shows how much we care about building an inclusive, supportive, and inspiring environment. We’re also a fast-growing organization where operational excellence, data intelligence, and smart decision-making are at the heart of our strategy. In this role, you’ll have the autonomy to redesign processes, implement best practices, and lead a cross-functional team with the goal of scaling sustainably. As a people leader, you’ll coach, develop, and motivate your team to reach their full potential—while making a tangible impact on the company’s growth. You’ll also spearhead the creation of our enterprise data warehouse, ensuring that our data is structured, accessible, and ready to power every decision. What will you be doing? • First and foremost, you’ll be leading a team of highly capable and talented specialists. While we don’t expect you to outsmart anyone in their own field, we do expect you to have a holistic overview of how everything ties together so you can coordinate and set priorities. As their manager, you’ll also be responsible for ensuring deadlines are met across all functions., • You’ll be leading important projects—some big, some small. For example, one ongoing project involves consolidating all of our various data sources into an internal data warehouse on which we can deploy a business intelligence tool. This project will ensure that we have accurate data across all connected systems and sources. The second phase is to deploy an AI layer on top, so we can analyze data intelligently regardless of the source., • Like any company, Plytix relies on internal processes. You’ll be responsible for mapping these processes, detecting inefficiencies, and making sure they’re eliminated. We’ll also expect you to set up and enforce scheduled process reviews., • Last but not least, you and your team will create reports and dashboards for management, working closely with the CEO. You’ll also be responsible for delivering the less glamorous—but necessary—bureaucratic reports and official documentation required by governments and institutions. It sucks, we know, but unfortunately it’s part of the job. After 1 month: You’ll have a solid grasp of our internal processes, team setup, and go-to-market motion. You’ll have met every team member and started shaping how your team operates—setting priorities and mapping out the data warehouse scope and requirements. By this point, you’ll already have your playbook for coordinating, communicating, and driving projects forward. After 3 months: You’re now optimizing processes like Mo Salah scores goals. You’ve delivered dashboards that actually get used and set up reporting systems that connect operations to financial outcomes. The data warehouse project will be well into build mode, with the first pieces already live and producing real insights. 6 months in: You’ll be the go-to person for everything operations, data, and budgeting. Processes will run smoothly without constant firefighting, your team will be performing at its best, and the data warehouse will be fully live—giving everyone a single, reliable source of truth for business intelligence. You’ll also know exactly when to step in if something isn’t working—without micromanaging. Who will you be working with? You’ll work closely with the CEO while directly managing a team of talented operations professionals. You’ll also collaborate with other department heads to ensure the entire business runs seamlessly. Need to have: • People management: 5+ years of experience leading teams. We’re not looking for someone who just schedules weekly 1:1s—we expect you to truly support your team and ensure they have what they need to move projects forward., • Project management: 5+ years of experience leading projects with multiple stakeholders. You should love project management—and ideally, get nervous tics when things are delayed., • Finance: No degree required, but a solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting is essential., • Process optimization: Obsessed with process maps? Good. You should be skilled at building flowcharts and diagrams., • Data warehouse: We don’t expect you to be a systems engineer, but you should have enough knowledge to liaise with and coordinate one., • Business intelligence: You should know how to build forecasting and decision-making simulation tools—and not just build them, but use them regularly with the senior management team., • Breakdancing: Just kidding. Not required, but would be pretty cool. 😉 Nice to have • Experience in Retail, B2B SaaS, or other scale-ups., • Experience leading a data warehouse + BI project (huge plus)., • Background in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)., • Experience with transfer pricing (would be amazing)., • A dog 🐶 (we love dogs). To apply: Why work at Plytix • Voted one of the best workplaces by Great Place to Work®, • Be part of a welcoming culture with bright, friendly people from around the world, • Have purpose and plenty of opportunities to grow from day one, • Work from home or from our offices in the center of Málaga, • Enjoy your birthday off with an extra paid holiday, • Free catered lunches and unlimited ice cream at the Málaga office, • Competitive full-time salary, • Private health insurance covered by Plytix, • Gym discount, • Factorial Flexible Retribution (Restaurant, Transport & Nursery Vouchers), • And more!
