About the job We are looking for an Assistant Maitre D' who is passionate about hospitality, attention to detail, and leadership skills to support the operational management of our restaurants. This person will play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring team coordination and close collaboration with the kitchen and other departments. Responsabilities: Assist the Head Maitre D’ in managing and supervising daily restaurant operations Coordinate and assign tasks to the team to ensure an efficient workflow Ensure the waitstaff is well informed about menus, promotions, and special events Oversee dining room setup before service and ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the area Guarantee service standards are met in our restaurants and bars, and ensure the team maintains a professional attitude Support shift planning and adjust operations based on resort occupancy, as well as assist in staff performance evaluations Participate in staff training and development, ensuring all team members are trained in service techniques and protocols Supervise administrative tasks in coordination with HR and Administration Collaborate in planning special events and services within the resort Evaluate team members when needed and report any cases requiring warnings, disciplinary actions, or performance improvement plans (PIPs) Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally Ensure the restaurant complies with all food safety and health regulations Identify opportunities to improve and optimize service delivery Actively contribute to the resort’s sustainability plans and involve the team in achieving goals Support inventory management, including overseeing supplies and placing orders as needed Foster a positive and motivating work environment for the team Assist the Head Maitre D’ in preparing reports and managing daily operations Possibility to stay in staff accommodation - Immerse yourself in a dynamic learning environment with diverse opportunities for both professional and personal development - Enjoy a permanent full-time contract with a 40-hour workweek and 2 days off - Recharge with 30 days of annual leave - Embrace a lifestyle of well-being with discounts on all resort amenities, promoting a healthy work-life balance - Indulge in the perks of a meal provided on all working days, ensuring you're fueled and ready for success - Canary Residency, enabling discounted travel opportunities - Receive dedicated support in organizing the necessary documentation required for foreigners upon arrival in Spain, ensuring a smooth start to your journey with us - Plus, numerous additional social benefits await you Department: F&B service About you Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in Food & Beverage or related roles in a high-end restaurant or hotel Excellent communication and team leadership skills Strong focus on customer service and problem-solving Team player with solid organizational abilities In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and service standards in the industry Responsible and proactive attitude Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays High proficiency in English and Spanish; German or another language is a plus Formal training in Hospitality or Culinary Arts is a plus Ability to work under pressure and flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Language required: English.
