Position Overview We are seeking a Vice President, Marketing Communications & Social Media to lead social media, digital communications, influencer and affiliate marketing, branded content, and audience engagement across our portfolio of brands. This is a senior strategic role for a leader who views social media as more than a distribution channel. The ideal candidate understands how social connects brand, communications, content, reputation, thought leadership, partnerships, audience development, and business growth. The successful candidate will bring deep social media experience within financial services or another regulated industry, strong editorial and creative judgment, and the ability to build audiences both through our own channels and through influencers, affiliates, creators, industry experts, and strategic content partners. Key Responsibilities • Develop and lead the social media and digital communications strategy across multiple brands and platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, Reddit, Spotify, and emerging channels., • Own social content strategy, editorial calendars, publishing standards, brand voice, and community engagement across all brands., • Develop social and thought-leadership strategies for founders, senior executives, and internal subject-matter experts, including personal brands and digital presence., • Build programs that establish Roc360 and its leaders as authoritative voices across real estate investing, lending, capital markets, technology, and other relevant industry conversations., • Lead the development of branded content and original content franchises, including video series, podcasts, interviews, educational programming, newsletters, social series, and other recurring formats., • Partner with Creative and Video teams to develop and approve social-first content, including interviews, short-form video, podcasts, event content, and recurring series., • Oversee social video workflows, including reviewing footage, identifying timestamps and clips, approving edits, and optimizing content by platform., • Build and grow Roc360's influencer, creator, and affiliate marketing platform, including identifying partners, developing programs and incentives, managing relationships, and creating scalable ways for partners to distribute content and generate business., • Develop a network of industry influencers, creators, customers, experts, and advocates who can extend the reach and credibility of Roc360's brands., • Develop content partnerships with media companies, industry platforms, newsletters, podcasts, technology companies, associations, and other organizations that share our target audiences., • Create co-branded and co-produced content programs that provide Roc360 access to new audiences while delivering meaningful value to partners., • Manage community engagement, comments, social listening, audience sentiment, and escalation of potential reputational or communications issues., • Identify emerging trends and conversations and advise leadership on opportunities, risks, and appropriate responses., • Partner with Communications, PR, Creative, Events, Sales, Product, Partnerships, Legal, and Compliance to develop integrated campaigns and communications., • Manage agencies, production partners, film crews, creators, influencers, freelancers, and other external resources supporting social and content initiatives., • Establish meaningful KPIs across audience growth, engagement, video consumption, influencer and affiliate performance, partner reach, sentiment, traffic, conversion, and business impact., • Use analytics, social listening, and audience insights to continuously improve content, partnership, and channel strategy., • Evaluate and incorporate AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve content creation, distribution, analytics, social listening, and influencer and affiliate management. Qualifications • 8–15+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, communications, content strategy, influencer marketing, or related disciplines, including significant leadership responsibility., • Financial services experience required; lending, mortgage, real estate finance, asset management, banking, capital markets, or investment banking experience strongly preferred., • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or related field., • Demonstrated success building social media and digital communications strategies within a regulated environment., • Experience developing influencer, creator, affiliate, branded content, or strategic content partnership programs., • Deep understanding of major social platforms, audience behavior, platform-native content, social listening, analytics, and emerging trends., • Strong understanding of owned, earned, paid, and partner-driven media and how they work together., • Proven ability to translate complex financial topics into clear, engaging content., • Exceptional writing, editorial, creative, and communications judgment., • Experience developing executive thought leadership and advising senior executives on their social and digital presence., • Strong understanding of reputation management, risk, and crisis communications., • Data-driven mindset with experience defining KPIs and presenting insights to senior leadership., • Experience managing teams, agencies, creators, influencers, production partners, and multiple workstreams., • Strong knowledge of AI and modern marketing, social publishing, analytics, affiliate/influencer technology, and automation tools. Leadership Profile We are looking for someone who has grown up professionally in social media but thinks far beyond social media. The right leader understands audiences, content, communications, reputation, creators, partnerships, data, and culture, and can connect those disciplines to business strategy. They understand that today's audiences are built not only through corporate channels, but through the people, communities, creators, and platforms they already trust. They should be equally comfortable advising an executive on thought leadership, developing an original branded content series, building an influencer or affiliate program, structuring a content partnership, and recognizing an emerging social conversation before it becomes a broader communications issue. Most importantly, they see social and content not as the last step in a marketing campaign, but as a strategic function where brand, communications, thought leadership, partnerships, audience intelligence, reputation, and growth increasingly converge.
