Commis Chef (Tuesday to Saturday)

The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Commis Chef to join our talented team at The Wigmore Kitchen. In this role, you will collaborate with the Head Chef to execute and improve on delicious selection of honest pub dishes, focused on quality ingredients and simple yet delicious cookery.
In the role of Commis Chef, your key focus will be to:
-be passionate about cooking and committed to learning
-ensure that the highest standards are maintained at all times
-ensure that the kitchen areas designated, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the standards required by the Hotel
-follow closely the recipe specifications to ensure consistency of the food
-ensure all mise-en-place is set up accordingly
Do you have? –
-previous similar experience in a 5* hotel, with medium to large hotels with banqueting and outlet restaurants
-interest and passion in learning
-good interpersonal and communication skills
-ability to multi-task and work under pressure
-excellent attention to detail
-food safety training along with relevant culinary qualifications
