About the RoleOverview A growing independent law firm focused on providing legal services to businesses is seeking to expand its property offering. The firm delivers practical, tailored advice to clients at various stages of their business journey, including start-up, growth, restructuring, and exit. Operating with a client-focused and commercially minded approach, the team advises on a wide range of non-contentious matters, particularly in relation to property and employment. The firm is known for delivering clear, pragmatic solutions and building strong client relationships. The Opportunity Following recent growth, the firm is establishing and developing its in-house property function, with plans to expand across commercial, agricultural, and residential property services. The initial focus will be on building the commercial and rural property side of the practice. An opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Property Fee Earner to join the team in a newly created position. This is a full-time, office-based role. After a successful probation period, there may be scope to discuss flexible working arrangements, including limited hybrid working, depending on business requirements. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of property transactions, including: • Acquisition and disposal of development land, • Agricultural and rural property matters (including licences and tenancies), • Lease grants, variations, and surrenders, • Property sales and purchases, • Refinancing transactions, • Option and conditional agreements, • Easements and related property rights, • Drafting and negotiating legal documentation, • Conducting title reviews and property searches, • Ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, • Liaising directly with clients and stakeholders, • Experience managing a property-based caseload independently, • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, • A practical, client-focused approach to legal work, • Ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment, • Familiarity with case management systems and legal research tools, • Experience drafting and negotiating a range of commercial property documents, • Qualified solicitors or legal executives with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience, or, • Competitive salary offered, dependent on experience, • Office-based role with potential for some flexibility after probation
