Kickstart your HR career with a leading consultancy in Tamworth! We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated apprentice to join a growing HR team. As an Apprentice HR Advisor, you will gain hands-on experience in all things HR from supporting client queries to helping create policies and handbooks. Youll be joining a small, supportive, and friendly team one of whom happens to be a very well-behaved office dog. For that reason, its important that youre comfortable working around dogs. You will be trained and supported every step of the way, building knowledge in UK employment law, compliance, and HR documentation, and being given ownership of small projects as you develop. This is a chance to grow into a fully qualified HR professional, with the potential to become the teams go-to HR Auditor in the future. What you need to apply: You must live within 10 miles of Tamworth as you will be expected to regularly attend Company premises and team meetings You will have a genuine interest in HR and employment law Any prior HR or administrative experience is a bonus but not required Eligible and committed to undertaking a CIPD-accredited HR apprenticeship You must be prepared to take ownership of projects and apply initiative Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organised, detail-oriented, and eager to learn Comfortable using MS Office and other digital platforms Professional, discreet, and client-focused Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this role Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites (desirable but not essential, although will become essential as the role evolves) Education & Qualifications: GCSEs (including English and Maths) or equivalent You will receive training across a wide range of HR areas, including: Training & Development Work towards a recognised HR apprenticeship (e.g., CIPD Level 3/5) Take part in modules on employment law, HR, and compliance Client Support Assist with client queries and documentation Shadow Advisors in meetings and calls Policy & Handbook Support Help draft and update policies and handbooks Support version control and tracking Compliance & Audits Get involved in HR compliance audits and reports Learn how to check client practices against legal standards HR Administration Maintain records and systems Provide support with scheduling and notes Collaboration & Learning Attend training and team meetings Contribute ideas and build client/colleague relationships Salary: £7.55 per hour Apprentice Rate minimum. Hours: Working 4 hours per day, 20 hours per week, between 9am 5.30pm Monday to Friday, flexible on start and finish times. One day per week will be allocated for training (20% as required by apprenticeship rules) and hours planned 2 weeks in advance.
