Lead with Compassion, Care with Purpose \n We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietician to join the team on a part time basis. Salary for this role is £50k on a full time basis. However, this role is based on 16 hours per week pro rata £. \n Waterloo Manor Hospital is the largest female personality disorder service in the United Kingdom, providing specialized assessment and treatment for women with complex mental health needs. \n Job Purpose \n\n • To assess, diagnose, and manage patients’ nutritional needs, providing evidence-based dietary advice to support recovery, improve health outcomes, and promote overall wellbeing.\n, • Clinical Assessment & Care\n, • · Assess patients’ nutritional status and dietary needs\n, • · Develop and implement personalised nutrition care plans\n, • · Monitor and review patient progress, adjusting plans as needed\n, • · Provide specialist advice for patients with conditions such as diabetes, obesity, and eating disorders\n, • Patient Support & Education\n, • · Educate patients, families, and carers on healthy eating and nutrition\n, • · Support behaviour change and promote long-term healthy habits\n, • · Deliver one-to-one consultations and group education sessions\n, • Multidisciplinary Working\n, • · Work closely with doctors, nurses, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals\n, • · Contribute to patient care plans and clinical reviews\n, • · Provide nutritional input during ward rounds and case discussions\n, • Documentation & Administration\n, • · Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records\n, • · Use electronic health systems to document care and outcomes\n, • · Prepare reports and contribute to audits or service evaluations\n, • Health Promotion\n, • · Support public health initiatives and nutritional awareness programmes\n, • · Develop resources such as meal plans, leaflets, and guidance materials\n\n Person Specification \n\n • Essential Qualifications & Skills\n, • · Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition\n, • · Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council\n, • · Strong communication and counselling skills\n, • · Ability to interpret clinical data and apply nutritional science\n, • · Good organisational and time-management skills\n, • Desirable\n, • · Experience in a clinical or mental health setting\n, • · Knowledge of specialist diets (e.g. enteral feeding, weight management)\n, • · Understanding of psychological aspects of eating behaviours\n\n Why Join Us? \n\n • Access to mandatory training with opportunities for further professional development and career growth\n, • Auto enrolment Pension\n, • Career development opportunities\n, • Eligibility for blue light card\n\n
