Senior Care Assistant – Days – Established Residential Care Home – AV1886 Full Time | Residential Care Location: Newport / Rogerstone Area, South Wales Shifts: 7:30am – 7:30pm (2–3 shifts per week) Pay: £13.70 per hour (Weekdays) | £15.34 per hour (Weekends) ☕ Paid breaks included 30 Residents | Elderly Residential Care | Long-Established Service Are you an experienced Senior Care Assistant looking to join a well-established, welcoming residential care home for the elderly in the Newport area? This residential service provides specialist personal care for 30 elderly residents, offering a warm, homely, and supportive environment. Your Responsibilities Provide and oversee high-quality personal care Lead, mentor, and support care staff on shift Administer and manage medications (requires training) Assist residents with personal care, mobility, and daily living tasks Maintain accurate care documentation and handovers Promote dignity, independence, and overall wellbeing Support residents’ emotional and social needs NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) Medication administration trained Full, valid driving license Previous experience in elderly residential care Experience supervising or leading care staff Compassionate, patient, and professional approach Strong communication and organisational skills Genuine passion for elderly care £13.70 per hour (weekdays) | £15.34 per hour (weekends) Paid breaks 7:30am – 7:30pm shifts (2–3 shifts per week) Stable, long-term opportunity in an established home Supportive management and team environment The chance to make a meaningful difference every day What We’re Looking For What You’ll Receive If you are a dedicated Senior Care Assistant with NVQ/QCF Level 3, medication training, and a driving license, seeking a leadership role in a well-established residential care home in the Newport / Rogerstone area, we would love to hear from you.
