We are therefore looking for delivery drivers to join our friendly, and yet ever-expanding team based just outside London; in Watford, Hertfordshire. The ideal candidate would be an experienced multi-drop van driver, with no more than 3 points and no serious endorsements on their license (TT99, IN10…). Key responsibilities: Follow precise instructions to deliver products ordered to our customers. Have good communication skills with understanding of smart-phone/tablet use. Loading/unloading of van. Maintain the cleanliness of the van at all times. Checking/reporting van damage via company reporting procedure. To carry out necessary checks to ensure the vehicle is road legal/safe. Being a part of a work group chat for information & delivery verification purposes (Taking photos). Shifts begin between 21:30-23:00pm depending on the route you do and the day of the week, and end anywhere between 06:30-08:30 in the morning; We therefore require some flexibility as we supply our clientele 7 days a week. You will be contracted to work 5 days week which can change from one week to the next. All new drivers are given one week’s training on a particular route with one/multiple experienced drivers to get them up and running (You will always have a tablet with you for navigation purposes and to instruct you how the customer requires delivery). Pay is hourly; however, the above sums are based on an average 8.5 hours shift. New drivers start at £13.00 per hour and can increase their wage to £15.00 per hour in 50p increments by learning multiple routes (The more you learn the more you earn) as if someone were to go sick or leave at short notice, you could cover that particular route. Benefits of this role include: Weekly pay (Paid in arrears of 1 week). No uniform required (Although we have hats/t-shirts/fleeces which you can request). Overtime. Social events.
