The Accountant Role: • Review and interpret financial data, producing clear and insightful reports., • Maintain compliance with relevant accounting frameworks and regulatory standards, including GAAP, IFRS, and SOX., • Monitor and assess performance trends across revenue, expenditure, and key operational areas to support budgeting and planning activities., • Support period-end close by recording journal adjustments, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and validating ledger balances., • Evaluate existing financial controls and procedures, assisting with audit activities and recommending enhancements where needed., • Ensure timely completion of period-end reporting in line with organisational deadlines., • Develop forecasts, annual budgets, short-term performance updates, and variance analysis for profit and loss reporting., • Undertake additional tasks in line with business requirements. You’ll Need: • Professionally qualified in Accounting (or equivalent), supported by a relevant degree, with ideally at least two years of experience gained after qualification., • Strong capability in Excel, with experience in developing and working with financial forecasting models considered a plus., • Good working knowledge of financial reporting, accounting practices, and control frameworks, with exposure to compliance standards such as GAAP, IFRS, or SOX., • Broad experience across financial analysis, reporting, and accounting, built through roles of increasing complexity and responsibility., • Well-organised, has attention to detail and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment., • Demonstrates sound judgement and analytical ability, with confidence in interpreting financial data and resolving issues independently., • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to present financial concepts clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders., • Competent in Microsoft Office tools and familiar with working with data systems or databases.
