Your new companyLocation: Redditch, WorcestershireSalary: Up to £35,000 per annumHours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-4:00pmWorking Pattern: Permanent role, Full-Time, Office-BasedAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Coordinator to join a successful and growing project-led business based in Redditch.Working within a close-knit finance team of three and reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function. This is a varied, hands-on position offering exposure across accounts payable, accounts receivable, subcontractor payments, banking, reconciliations and project accounting activities.This role would suit a finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, working independently and operating within a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Whilst the position is heavily focused on transactional finance and financial administration, there is also scope to develop further exposure to month-end processes and management accounting responsibilities over time.Your new roleManaging day-to-day purchase ledger, sales ledger and subcontractor accountsProcessing supplier invoices, payments, expenses and account reconciliationsPreparing payment runs and monitoring company bank accountsAllocating costs accurately across projects and departmentsManaging subcontractor payments and supporting CIS-related processesMonitoring aged debtors and creditors and resolving account queriesAssisting with weekly payroll administration and timesheet processingSupporting month-end activities, reconciliations and financial reportingLiaising with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholdersMaintaining accurate financial records and supporting audit requirementsIdentifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance financial controlsWhat you'll need to succeedWe are keen to speak with finance professionals who have experience within a fast-paced, project-led environment and are comfortable managing multiple priorities.You will ideally have:Previous experience within a Finance Coordinator, Finance Administrator, Accounts Assistant, Senior Accounts Assistant or similar finance roleCIS knowledge and experience dealing with subcontractor paymentsStrong purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliation experienceExcellent organisational skills and attention to detailExperience working with finance systems and Microsoft ExcelThe ability to work independently and take ownership of your workloadStrong communication and problem-solving skillsA proactive and positive approach to workHighly DesirablePrevious experience within construction, fit-out, contracting, engineering, property or another project-based environmentPayroll administration experienceExposure to month-end processes, journals, accruals or management accountsWhat you'll get in returnSalary up to £35,000 per annum22 days annual leave plus bank holidaysIncreased holiday entitlement with length of serviceFree onsite parkingOpportunity to join a stable and growing businessExposure to a broad finance role with genuine development opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative working environmentOpportunity to increase month-end and management accounting exposure over timeWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
