This new Category Manager role is essential to strengthen Weleda’s commercial performance and deliver long-term growth. The position will provide full ownership of category strategy, pricing, and innovation planning, ensuring our product portfolio remains competitive, profitable, and aligned with consumer and market insight. By bridging brand, sales, and supply chain teams, the role will optimise assortment and drive category growth, supporting Weleda’s 2030 ambition to double the UK business and build a stronger foundation for sustainable expansion. The Role: Category Strategy & Planning • Create, develop and execute the category strategy in line with company / global brand objectives to build the brand plan., • Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities., • Define, manage and forecast product assortment (including minis and sachets), pricing and profit, and creating promotional plans to maximise sales and margin and grow brand awareness., • Gather and synthesise customer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies., • Work with Supply Chain and Sales teams to agree planned product volumes for input into BI forecast at relevant stages pre-launch. Global & Stakeholder Management • Build and maintain strong Global relationships to ensure great information flow on NPD, campaigns and innovation pipeline., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, finance, training, supply chain, and link into Weleda Group., • Lead internal communication on products/ranges, including at community meetings, creating internal launches etc. Innovation & Product Development • Work with Group Marketing and internal teams to launch / relaunch products and refresh existing ranges., • Work with the Head of Brand & Comms and team to deliver NPD into the UK market with strong claims, product info and assets., • Ensure activity is aligned with consumer demand and market trends., • Local gifting strategy and management (where appropriate)., • Lead the development of launch and activation plans for new products, managing across all teams including presenting to customers., • Own the data related to a product and its communication., • Own product claims, packaging text through the artwork process and input for the UK, communicating with the ENCluster to input to Group. Performance Management • Monitor category performance against KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities., • Produce regular reports and insights to inform decision-making., • Support with recommendations for retailer range reviews and promotional requirements, • Ownership of product data within the organisation Product Positioning & Messaging • Work with wider Marketing & Training teams to develop clear, differentiated product positioning that resonates with target audiences., • Translate technical features into compelling customer benefits and stories. Sales Enablement • Create and maintain sales tools, presentations, and collateral to support the sales team., • Work with Sales team and attend customer meetings where required to present products / ranges. Your profile: • We are looking for a commercially driven Category Manager to take full ownership of a defined product category. This role is responsible for driving growth, profitability, and market share by developing category strategies, managing product assortments, optimising pricing and promotions, and building strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders., • The ideal candidate combines commercial acumen with analytical thinking, market insight, and a passion for understanding customer needs., • Proven experience (3–5+ years) in category management, buying, or merchandising, ideally within the health & beauty industry, • Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness., • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills., • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies., • Competent in Excel and category management tools. This is an hybrid-based role, working three days a week at our Ilkeston office in Derbyshire.
