Based in Melton, we support a hybrid working model that allows for some flexibility to work from home. Our commitment to excellence is unwavering, and we pride ourselves on being a supportive family for every child and foster parent we serve. \n\nYour Role and Responsibilities\n\n As a Senior/Supervising Social Worker, you will: \n\n • Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for all children and young people in foster care.\n, • Supervise, support, and monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.\n, • Ensure foster parents understand their roles, responsibilities, and the standards expected of them.\n, • Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.\n, • Collaborate with the child's network to identify needs such as respite, activities, and therapy.\n, • Maintain compliance with documentation for each child and foster parent.\n, • Attend meetings and provide reports for Commissioning Teams regarding individual care packages.\n, • Encourage the participation of children/young people in agency development and community resources.\n, • Participate in an 'out of hours' support service on a rota basis.\n, • A Social Work qualification.\n, • Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.\n, • Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.\n, • A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.\n, • The willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Yorkshire/Humberside/Lincs area.\n, • Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.\n
