You will be responsible for overseeing a well-maintained portfolio, ensuring the highest standards of compliance, presentation, and client care are consistently achieved.     We are Hiring: Trauma-Informed Facilitator Specialist Organisation: Healing Minds Community Recovery CIC Location: Newmarket, Suffolk Contract Type: Sessional / Fixed-term / Project-based Hours: Flexible (to be agreed) Rate: £14 to £18 per Hour Purpose of the Role The Trauma-Informed Facilitator Specialist will design and deliver trauma-informed group and 1-to-1 interventions that support emotional recovery, reduce risk of harm and violence, and improve wellbeing for young people and young adults (ages 11–26). The role emphasises prevention, early intervention, and community-based recovery. Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver trauma-informed wellbeing, recovery, and violence-prevention sessions, • Facilitate emotional regulation, grounding, and resilience-building activities, • Recognise trauma responses and avoid re-traumatisation, • Use de-escalation and conflict-reduction techniques, • Create safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental group environments, • Provide optional 1-to-1 emotional support where appropriate, • Maintain accurate attendance records, session notes, and outcome data, • Work collaboratively with volunteers, partners, and referral agencies Educational Qualifications Applicants must have one or more of the following: • Level 3 (or above) qualification in Counselling, Psychotherapy, Psychology, Mental Health, Youth Work, Social Care, Community Development, or Trauma-Informed Practice, • Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), • Accredited trauma-informed care training, • Safeguarding Children & Adults, • Strong understanding of trauma-informed principles (safety, trust, choice, collaboration, empowerment), • Knowledge of safeguarding and professional boundaries, • Understanding of adolescent development and emotional well-being, • Confident facilitation of groups with complex needs, • Calm management of challenging or emotionally charged situations, • Clear, empathetic, and culturally sensitive communication, • Ability to adapt sessions to diverse needs, • Accurate record-keeping and basic reporting Experience: • Experience delivering trauma-informed or therapeutic support, • Experience working with young people or vulnerable adults, • Empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental, • Emotionally resilient and reflective, • Reliable, professional, and trustworthy, • Committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, • Commitment to follow safeguarding, GDPR, and confidentiality policies, • Commitment to regular supervision and ongoing professional development
