Key Responsibilities • Oversee the full ocean freight import process, from origin to final delivery, • Liaise with global offices and agents to ensure smooth coordination of shipments, • Negotiate rates with suppliers to deliver best-value solutions for clients, • Select appropriate contracts and carriers to suit individual customer needs, • Provide competitive quotations and monitor market trends, • Maintain clear and regular communication with clients throughout the shipment lifecycle, • Ensure accurate documentation to support customs clearance, • Coordinate delivery schedules with hauliers and suppliers, • Troubleshoot and resolve delays or shipment issues as they arise, • Manage invoicing and cost control to ensure accurate margin tracking, • Previous experience in ocean imports within freight forwarding, • Strong knowledge of end-to-end import processes, including customs procedures, • Confident in negotiating rates and selecting suitable carriers, • Excellent communication and customer service skills, • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple shipments at once, • A proactive problem-solver who can remain calm under pressure, • Employee-owned business - when we succeed, you benefit, • Enhanced benefits package, • Supportive team culture focused on collaboration and personal growth, • Regular training and professional development opportunities, • Modern offices in Wythenshawe with excellent transport links WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
